The Young and the Restless News: Doug Davidson Caught Getting Into Nasty Fights With His Fans

Yikes. The Young and the Restless alum Doug Davidson, who is best known for his role as Paul Williams, was recently caught getting into some nasty fights with his fans on Twitter. Apparently, the former daytime television star called some of his social media followers “stupid” and suggested that they take a course in “analytical thinking.” What is going on here? Keep reading below.

The Young and the Restless News: Doug Davidson Caught Getting Into Nasty Fights With His Fans

For some reason or another, Doug decided to weigh in on the news that The Young and the Restless Executive Producer Josh Griffith had decided to fire everyone on his breakdown writing team. It was certainly a controversial move, to say the least. And while no one really knows Griffith’s logic behind the firing or what prompted him to do so, Doug decided to add his two cents on Twitter.

If that weren’t enough, Doug also seemed a little salty that he wasn’t invited to celebrate The Young and the Restless’ 50th anniversary with the rest of the cast and crew. When someone tweeted our to Doug, “Who are you claiming is desperate for a pay day,” he shot back with, “You might want to consider taking a course in analytical thinking.”

But it didn’t stop there. When another fan suggested that former writer Sally Sussman and some other cast mates are coming back, Doug fired back with, “Let’s say a very subjective opinion. You might be stupid, huh,” along with, “Who are you? A faceless entity. That’s how all authoritarian regimes begin.”

The Young and the Restless News: Should Doug Davidson Take A Break From Twitter?

Yikes. Doug hasn’t made any additional comments about the matter, but this kind of social media behavior sure has given his fans a reason to be concerned. Nobody wants to see one of their favorite former The Young and the Restless stars lose it on Twitter, right? That, and there’s no doubt that Doug doesn’t want to tarnish his soap legacy by engaging in name calling with his fans on social media, either. It might be time for him to take a break, nevertheless.
