British Royal News: Prince William Fought With Prince Harry Over His Charity Work In Africa

British Royal News suggests that there might have been a tad of jealousy coming from Prince William’s direction over the amount of charity work that Prince Harry did in Africa. Apparently, the Prince of Wales wanted the continent to be his “thing” for a lack of a better word. Here’s what you need to know.

British Royal News: Prince William Fought With Prince Harry Over His Charity Work In Africa

“I let you have veterans, why can’t you let me have African elephants and rhinos?” William is said to have wailed, according to Harry’s book, Spare. Apparently, William did not want Harry to get too involved in charity work in Africa because he wanted that to be part of his royal image instead.

Needless to say, many royal fans and critics alike have commented on the matter with, “Every new thing that comes out about this man proves him to be a petty, vindictive, bullying, and abusive man-child who thinks everything is owed to him. Being around him must be so miserable,” along with, “Two white princes fighting over “Africa” (and it sounds like mostly William fighting bc Harry wouldn’t give up his patronages there) is so incredibly problematic and just reeks of colonialism.”

Another critic wrote, “Oh, the whole fighting over Africa thing really is bizarre. But it makes sense. Europe took their internecine squabbles around the globe, fighting naval battles in the Caribbean and Pacific and land battles in Africa and Asia, all over who got to grab the wealth from lands that weren’t theirs. I’m not saying I fault Harry for his interest and work in Africa and specifically Botswana. William is a different story.”

While speaking to Tom Brady of ITV news, Prince Harry accused his family of fueling the strife between them mostly because they are supposedly working with the tabloid press behind the scenes. “We’re not just talking about family relationships, we’re talking about an antagonist, which is the British press, specifically the tabloids who want to create as much conflict as possible,” Prince Harry told Bradby. “The saddest part of that is certain members of my family and the people that work for them are complicit in that conflict.”

Harry also said that the royals are the ones who are always “leaking” and “planting” stories to the press. He added that while a royal source “is not an unknown person, it is the palace specifically briefing the press, but covering their tracks by being unnamed.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
