British Royal News says that Prince Harry is certainly having the last laugh as there are new reports that say his memoir, Spare, managed to sell a whopping 1.4 million copies in its first day alone. In fact, previous reports said that Spare sold 400,000 in its first few hours, making it the fastest selling non-fiction book of all time. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the book’s publisher, Penguin Random says that Spare is most definitely on fire as it’s the hottest book that is flying off bookshelves right now. “We sold books in every location — and we sold a lot of them,” said Shannon DeVito, the director of books at Barnes & Noble. “Some people came in right before work, some people came in on their lunch break, some people came in after,” she continued. “But the velocity of sales throughout the day was gigantic.”
What’s more, the book is also getting some rave reviews on Amazon, too. Some comments have included, “I read it in one night and went through so many emotions. I had to put it down multiple times to laugh, cry, and self reflect. Well-done to Harry taking the hard step to be vulnerable to the world in his own way and taking control of his narrative and his writer is absolutely so talented. During his sit down interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby, Prince Harry says that his royal family members are like abusers to him. He also accused them of showing no willingness to reconcile but denied that his “honesty is burning bridges.”
When Brady said that Harry hasn’t just burned bridges, but has basically thrown a hand grenade towards his family, the Duke of Sussex responded with, “Well they’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile up until this point. And I’m not sure how honesty is burning bridges. You know, silence only allows the abuser to abuse. Right? So I don’t know how staying silent is ever gonna make things better. That’s genuinely what I believe.”
