Days of Our Lives Star Galen Gering Says His Son Was Denied Insurance Coverage For His Emergency Surgery
Days of Our Lives star Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez) isn’t someone who often takes to social media to make a complaint, but when he does have something to say, you better believe that people are going to sit up and listen. The actor recently revealed that his son had to have emergency surgery but unfortunately, his insurance company sure wasn’t helping with his stress levels. Here’s what he has to say.
Days of Our Lives Star Galen Gering Says His Son Was Denied Insurance Coverage For His Emergency Surgery
The Days of Our Lives actor didn’t go into a lot of detail about his son’s health situation, but he did let the world know that his insurance company sure wasn’t helping with the matter on their end. Galen took to his Twitter account to write, “Hey @AnthemBCBS my son had an emergency appendectomy last week and you’ve just sent me a letter denying coverage. What is wrong with you people?! Like the surgery wasn’t stressful enough on our family now I have to fight you guys? This is pathetic. Get it together.”
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for his Twitter fans and followers to comment on his post. Many of them wrote, “Many prayers to you son for a speedy recovery and God bless. Sad these companies care about making money more than helping people. Universal Healthcare for all” along with, “Ugh! Just added stress to an already stressful situation. I’m sorry. Our Healthcare is ridiculous and sad. Hope you appeal and win.”
Another fan wrote, “As long as your premium was paid. It shouldn’t be a problem. File an appeal with the insurance company. Many times the hospital does not process the claim correctly with the insurance company. Then when claim is rejected they send the bill to the patient/family.”
Days of Our Lives Star Galen Gering Is Demanding Answers
With that said, we hope that everything has gone well with Galen’s son and that he’s back at home resting with his family. That, and hopefully Galen’s insurance company will help him out in this case, too. A father can only take so much stress at a time, right?
