It’s not like he can really go back at this point, now can he? Clearly, we are talking about General Hospital star Chad Duell, who was once best known for his role as Michael Corinthos on the hit ABC soap.
Does Chad Duell Regret Making This Decision?
Well, there’s a lot of speculation suggesting that he might be regretting his decision to leave General Hospital, simply because he’s not really in a place that a lot of his fans thought he would be in his career by now.
The actor made it clear that he wasn’t fired from the show or that he was unhappy with his character’s storylines before he left.
Instead, it’s because as an actor and a creative person, he was just feeling very stagnant in the role, and that’s not a bad thing at all.
When he left the show in 2025, Chad hinted at the time that he wanted to do more theater work and perhaps dip his toes in the primetime television world, too.
Now, that wasn’t to say that he was done with the soap industry, but just needed to take a break from it.
What’s Next For Chad Duell?
That’s probably why the actor has turned to music. That’s right: Chad Duell is now Duelly and he’s just released his first song on Spotify called ‘Static in the Quiet Room.’
Some of his fans commented on his music with, “I find it VERY good and impressive. It’s kinda along the lines of Jane Remover but waaay toned down. It’s a very popular sound right now. Also he’s been going by Duelly for over 20 years.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I hope it fulfills him and he’s living his best life. This music is not to my taste, but tastes are wide and varied. Again, I hope he’s doing what makes him content.”
But whether or not he ever comes back to the soap world though, remains to be seen.
