Prince Harry Left Reeling as William Keeps His Distance, Omid Scobie Claims

Prince Harry Left Reeling as William Keeps His Distance, Omid Scobie Claims

It takes two to fix a rift, and even though Prince Harry is working hard on his end, he’s getting zero reception from big brother Prince William.

In fact, the term “zero reception” may even sound better than the complete silence Harry is receiving from his brother, and according to the pro-Sussex royal reporter Omid Scobie, it’s deeply hurting Harry that he can’t get through.

Huh!

Prince William Isn’t Interested In Having A Conversation With Prince Harry

Remember when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went on Oprah and said a couple of the scathing things they said about the Royal Family? Even then, Prince William decided to be the bigger person and talk to him when he attended Prince Philip’s funeral shortly after.

However, there’s only so much one person can take, and in a post-Spare world, William is choosing peace over any needless drama that comes with his brother.

And well, we’re being told fix-it Harry is not necessarily happy about that. It’s believed that the brothers have not spoken since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, and while Harry initially believed that the presence of his children in the UK would fix that, he soon found out he was very wrong.

Prior to the Sussex family’s UK visit in July, a Sussex insider had disclosed that it is Harry’s hopes his children can bond with their royal cousins, and perhaps even enjoy a Sandringham summer.

What really happened was a short visit to Highgrove House to see King Charles and Queen Camilla and a brief visit to Princess Diana’s childhood home Althorp House, which went controversial for entirely different reasons.

Despite the friction existing between both brothers having lasted for years now, presenter Christiana Mbakwe Medina argued on the Pop Syllabus podcast that William and Harry would probably eventually find their way back together.

“I think they have a very unique bond that, though it’s ruptured, it can be repaired. But what perhaps that they don’t see is that them repairing it would be good for them as brothers,” she argued.

However, Medina’s enthusiastic  sentiment was not shared by royal biographer Omid Scobie, who responded instead, “I think we’ve kind of passed that point, but I think there was a moment where it still could have been figured out. How many years has it been now? I’ve lost count.”

He continued: “I remember a couple years ago, when Endgame came out, I had been talking to someone that was close to both William and Harry.

They had been longtime person that been in their lives and they’d been approached to kind of be an intermediary between the two.”

“It was Harry’s suggestion that they could have a conversation and it was on William’s side that there just wasn’t an interest there.”

Omid Scobie Weighs In On Prince Harry’s Push To Repair Relations With King Charles

Despite not seeing any clear path to Harry reconciling with his brother, Scobie believes it’s not the same when it comes to Harry and his father.

“I think it would go a long way if the father and son could figure things out because I think we’ve gotten so close to it,” he observed, adding, “Harry has spoken about communicating with his father. We’ve seen him come and visit him when he was ill.”

He continued: “We know that Meghan sends Charles pictures of the kids and tries to keep him in the loop. And so, there’s enough warmth there for that to be the beginning of another step forward.”

“But so much of it is to do with the business being in the way, the kind of institution itself, and the courtiers, the aides, the comms people who have their own interests, that I think unless these individuals actually speak to each other, we’re never going to get to that point,” he explained.
