General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie’s Shocking Attitude Shift Raises Red Flags For Lulu And Nathan
General Hospital spoilers reveal Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has done a complete about-face on the issue of Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) loving on her ex-husband, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).
Honestly, most of us were expecting a longer runway before she and Lulu just decided to get on with their friendship.
Moreover, Maxie’s self-awareness was lovely, but a bit too on-the-nose. She processed all of that heartache and betrayal in record time, especially for someone who had just surfaced from a coma and was readjusting to her life as a mother, partner, daughter, friend, and business owner — all while her former husband just came back from the dead.
It seems like GH is trying to rush this storyline, which makes me wonder where it’s headed so quickly.
Maxie Moves On?
If Maxie really is happiest with Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), then the story about her just worrying she’s going to lose her bestie at the same time may track.
But there’s no way Maxie doesn’t have any resentment building or worry that this is going to make things awkward to see the love of her life falling for her best friend.
How might these women find equal footing moving forward if Nathan decides to sow more malcontentness and distrust? Wait for it!
GH Spoilers Say a Storm is Brewing
The real hurdle Maxie and Lulu are facing in their relationship isn’t this love affair with Nathan — nor how it’s going to change their dynamic or the topics of conversation between them.
The deep-seated issue awaiting them is that something is amiss with Nathan. I can totally see Maxie moving forward and trying to be accepting of Lulu’s would-be relationship with her ex, only to find herself becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the guy. Forward-facing, that might look like idle jealousy.
It could come out like an overprotective friend, but Lulu might perceive it as Maxie still hanging onto her old feelings for Nathan or feeling like he belongs to her.
Nathan might even color the way Lulu perceives her bestie’s behavior, because it’s plausible that the bad guy lurking behind Nathan’s icy blue eyes has an agenda to divide and conquer.
Who Suspects Nathan First?
So, if Nathan isn’t who he claims to be, then who is he? Furthermore, who is going to notice something is off first? He’s already made a few missteps that seem to have flown over the heads of even some of Port Chuck’s savviest, like Police Commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Lulu is so gaga over him that she can’t see the red flags. But Maxie? She knows Nathan better than anyone.
As soon as she gets to spend more time with him, I suspect she’s going to have all kinds of alarm bells going off. But will Maxie listen, or will she chalk it up to a bitter ex-wife who is green with envy? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
