The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) added Spencer to her name again. She plans to use her most unexpected wedding gift that her renewed husband gave her to prove a family point.

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) added Forrester to her name again. The difference between Katie and Brooke’s marriages is that Lang’s character has married her true love three times more than her younger sister has crossed the marital line with her sweetheart.

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) can’t believe Brooke wanted to deny Katie the right to use her family name. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) thinks he knows why Katie chose the name Logan for the new fashion house she heads.

Ridge Forrester Is Wrong Again

Ridge made a terrible choice when he agreed to get engaged to Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).

He knew that Brooke still held the greatest part of his heart, but he felt she strayed from him.

The difference between Ridge’s mistake with Taylor and his assessment of Katie’s brand decision is worth noting. Ridge didn’t care about Taylor’s feelings, despite his claims otherwise.

In this instance, Ridge believes he’s supporting his wife by claiming that Bill drove Katie’s choice. He didn’t.

Ridge is provoking Brooke, and that will lead to an all-out family battle between the Forresters, Logans, and Spencers.

He can help Brooke realize that Katie wasn’t undermining her or Forrester’s expired rights. But Ridge squandered the opportunity to help tamp down the heat because he’s a hot head.

Deke Sharpe Was Waiting For An Opportunity At Il Giardino

Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) was grateful that his father allowed him to work at Il Giardino. It was Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) way of helping his son, who was hurting.

It is wrong of Bill and Katie to see Ridge’s and Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) decision to reinstall Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) as pure nepotism. As Deke said to Katie, Thomas is established, and he’s not.

Katie would be wise not to push her payback angle too hard. Unforced errors will happen if she does. While Brooke’s reaction to the Logan reveal was naturally upsetting, Tom’s character needs to make sound business decisions rather than impulsive ones that target Brooke.

Katie Logan Spencer Has A Lot To Learn

Ridge and Brooke do have one plot point right. Katie is green when it comes to running a fashion house.

Forrester Creations hopes to exploit Logan’s lack of infrastructure. Devoted fans must suspect that in this daytime world that the Forrester’s legacy fashion house will tangle with the upstart Logan business in ways that normally wouldn’t be seen in the real world.

But this is soap, and the setup mines this show’s storied history while also creating a modern storyline that is already very promising.
