General Hospital Spoilers: Is Carly Confusing Danger With Romance — and Will Valentin Feel the Same?
General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is making waves with viewers who are dying to see her blow the lid off of Jack Brennan’s (Chris Mckenna) secrets.
I have to say that I see why Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) keeps seeking reassurance from Carly that she isn’t falling for Jack’s smooth moves and sweet moves.
Jewelry for Christmas and sweet nothings in her ear can’t possibly negate the damage he has done by recruiting Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) into the WSB. Still, Carly is playing it so cool that sometimes that I too wonder if she’s losing her fire.
Something tells me Valentin might be the one to give it back to her. There’s just one problem with everyone speculating that Valentin is the next notch on Carly’s bed post — no one has considered whether he’s looking for that at all.
Carly’s History Tells a Tale
Carly’s history is decorated with powerful, risk-taking men that she fell for — often during some sort of secret or scheme playing out.
Every time Carly has fallen into a one-on-one encounter with a man, something more than friendship tends to stem from it.
Even in difficult circumstances, such as this one where Valentin is forcing her to play along, Carly generally ends up developing feelings for the “bad guy.”
GH Spoilers Say Valentin Doesn’t Lead with His Heart
It might make him all that more attractive to Carly, but Valentin puts business first. He’s strategic and rarely veers off course, especially not because he catches feelings for someone.
Even when he was falling hardcore for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and finally got his chance with her, he still didn’t miss a beat.
That being said, Carly is used to this type of guy. White Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) absolutely is feelings-forward, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is anything but that.
Could Valentin be a quality replacement for Jason in her life as he remains tied up with Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) latest melodrama?
Nothing Would Make Less Sense
Again, Valentin is a strategic guy. He’s charting his course with little more than payback against Jack in mind, coupled with his love for Charlotte Cassadie (Bluesy Burke).
It’s unlikely that romance is anywhere in any corner of his mind, unless it’s the one where Anna is lurking.
But with her out of the picture and out of town, and him cooped up at Carly’s place feeling sentimental and missing his own daughter, will his drive to help Carly save her own lead him to find a renewed purpose for himself again? With so much speculation that Carly might fall for Valentin, few are considering that it’s not a given that he’ll feel the same.
