General Hospital Spoilers: The Forgotten Parents of GH – Taggert, Harmony, and Sam’s Traumas Have Left a Mark

General Hospital Spoilers: The Forgotten Parents of GH - Taggert, Harmony, and Sam’s Traumas Have Left a MarkGeneral Hospital spoilers claim the writers have been on a rampage recently trying to write several characters into a corner, and it seems there is no real way for them to box their way out of them.

Some viewers have taken note of the more forgotten legacies on this show that made an impact — even if they’re long gone now and seemed to be more transient characters.

Have you noticed? As difficulties arise with key characters, I have to wonder whether their lives would have turned out even remotely the same had they not lost the parents they thought they would have by their side forever.

Let’s take a look back at Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Where would their children be today had they not lost them?

Trina Didn’t Have to Lose Taggert

Let’s put it right out there: Taggert is not dead. We don’t know where he is, but he hasn’t been in Port Charles since 2023, and he wasn’t doing very well back then.

Trina thought her world was ending when she found out about Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) affair with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) — and that Curtis was really her biological father.

Still, she’s made amends since then and has embraced her new father.

Now, she’s struggling with watching her parents go through the beginnings of another divorce, and it leads me to question whether she would be in such dire straits if Portia and Curtis had never reunited.

We Should Compare Harmony to Nina

Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is in for the fight of her life trying to stay out of prison, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being by her side isn’t much consolation.

Nina slept with the man Willow loved — and she knew it. She lied to the police and provided a false alibi that ended up making Willow look much worse.

Say what you want about Harmony, but the lies she told didn’t tend to cause this much wreckage.

If we’re comparing apples to oranges, it’s hard to say whether Willow is really better off with her new mom.

Sam’s Legacy Lives On…Sort Of

Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) might be doing okay in a bubble surrounded by Quartermaines who love him and a dad who has sidelined some of her dangerous career choices to be the dad Danny needs him to be, but Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is no Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Drew isn’t about to put Emily ‘Scout’ Cain (Cosette Abinante) first ahead of his own needs and wants, and Sam would never want that.

There is no arguing that Scout wouldn’t be better off if her mother were still alive, and there has been little focus on how Drew being shot and trying to drag her off to Washington, D.C. is actually affecting her.

Do you think there is any chance she’s doing just fine? Share your thoughts in the comments, and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers.
