The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Are The Writers Gaslighting Viewers Over Hope And Deke?
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that for a lot of fans, they believe that the writers might be gaslighting viewers over the real backstory about Hope and Deke. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Are The Writers Gaslighting Viewers Over Hope And Deke?
For those not in the know or for those who just need a little refresher, Deke Sharpe is the son of Deacon Sharpe with Becky Moore the baby Amber Moore used to baby trap Rick Forrester after her own baby was stillborn.”
If that weren’t enough, Becky wanted to get rid of her baby as she didn’t want to get tied down to her bad boy lover Deacon.
However, the plan fell apart when Deacon showed up in LA and Amber’s lies came out and to make matters worse Becky died of cancer and a heated custody battle heated up.
Fast-forward to the present tense, Deke Sharpe is now apparently Hope’s little brother and the Sharpe siblings apparently grew up together despite Amber giving guardianship to Becky’s parents where he was raised by them in Death Valley indefinitely.
Deke Is Three Years Older Than Hope
Does any of this even make sense? That’s what viewers want to know.
Of course, many fans of the show had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “It bothers me since the Little Eric baby drama is specifically the story that got me into the show, but for someone who missed out on all of that, I can understand why it may not be an issue for them.”
Another critic wrote, “There was absolutely no reason to change that and frankly it’s insulting to long-term viewers (who are surely the vast, vast majority these days).”
“Brooke would never have even met Deacon if not for the Deke situation, and thus Hope would never have been born.”
And then there was this comment as well: “But we who have watched from the beginning know that Deke is like 3 years older than Hope, had minimal contact with either Deacon or Hope. Now he’s like 23 instead of 36. It ignores the Brooke/Deacon/Bridget storyline.”
“It makes no sense when you think about it for for a second you realize the only reason Deacon and Brooke met in the first place was because of Deke briefly being Brooke’s grandson.”
Then again, B&B fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
