Their last marriage ended in 2023, which is an eternity in soap time. Devoted viewers seeing the teaser ring scene have patiently waited for this reunion to happen, knowing that a reinvention of a past triangle likely wasn’t in the daytime cards.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will always care for Liam. Her love is and will remain John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), and that fact of Californian life is another factor that keeps Liam rightly focused on Hope.

Should Steffy Forrester Finnegan Be Pursued?

It was reasonable to believe Liam pursued and got her on many past occasions, but that is no longer a realistic expectation. But Steffy is clearly in love with Finn and has a son with him.

B&B didn’t use Wood’s recent real-life pregnancy as an opportunity for Steffy to become pregnant. It will be interesting to see if this couple has more children in the future. Steffy and Finn will remain together for the foreseeable future.

That naturally means Liam’s other love is right for him. While Steffy was his first wife, he also has a child with Hope, and his renewed interest in remarrying her is genuine.

Liam Spencer Impacted By Real And Fake Death Chants

It felt like Liam was going to die. First, he was told that a brain tumor would take his life. Yet, that imminent tragedy was averted because Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) proved to be the same type of so-called doctor as her ex-husband, Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady).

Grace bent to pressure bookmakers applied when threatening her daughters. She deserves some grace for not initiating that scenario, as Reese did years ago. Telling Liam he was dying but could benefit from experimental surgery was still a terrible choice and one that should have been avoided.

However, Grace’s unethical decision was forced. Luna Nozawa (2025 Daytime Emmy Award-winner, Lisa Yamada) was foolishly set free by Liam’s dad, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).

That allowed Luna to be at Bill’s beach house and shot Liam in the chest. Thankfully, he survived a shot that would have killed most other people in that version of Los Angeles, California.

Hope Logan Becomes Hope Spencer Again

Hope knows that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was and will remain a friend. Carter was likely on track to become Hope’s next husband and Beth Spencer’s (Jordyn Lynn Ariza) stepfather if he died from the bullet Luna pumped into him.

Liam survived, and with that, Hope’s storyline turned. It became obvious that she didn’t intend to marry Carter but wanted to restore their longtime friendship and professional tie.

This time feels different than the past iterations of Hope and Liam. He isn’t rebounding back to her from Steffy. She hasn’t been fighting to regain his full attention. They are simply two people who realize that another chance is worth the try and that their family life can be revitalized because of the clarity their love provides.
