The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Fans “Cannot Take Anymore” Threaten To Boycott
The Young And The Restless has been on tv for over 50 years. It has actually been renewed through 2027-2028 season. However, fans are threatening to call it quits and turn off the tv. Here’s why fans are done.
The Young And The Restless Has Dominated Ratings
The Young and the Restless has been on for 52 years and has dominated the ratings for over half the time. The show continues to hold the number one spot in ratings still today.
Y&R has enjoying being in the top spot for 34 years of daytime ratings. Several soaps have be canceled since then and still Y&R is at the top.
Of course, The Bold and the Beautiful has been in the number two spot for quite some time as well. Days of our lives is still on, but went to streaming only in September 2022.
That leaves General Hospital and the new soap opera, Beyond The Gates to round out the five currently still airing. Beyond the Gates began earlier this year.
Things Are Getting Shaken Up
The cast has been shaken up quite a bit in the last few years on the Young and the Restless. Billy Flynn has left Days of Our Lives to play Cane Ashby.
Tamara Braun, who played Ava Vitali on Days of Our Lives will soon appear in a mystery role. Unfortunately, with the strict soap budgets, this makes fans worry about long time vets.
Fans are upset over the Flynn addition because Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) was killed off the show and Floyd has joined Days of Our Lives as Chad Dimera (Flynn’s former role).
Roger Howarth formerly from OLTL and GH is also joining in a mystery role as well. Fans are certainly wondering who will be next.
Fans Are Ready To Boycott If That’s What It Takes To Be Heard
If the revolving door of casting changes wasn’t enough How about the fact that the show is becoming downright boring? One fan posted, “After 40+ years .
I think Im officially done. Every person is a business , CCOOO CEEOO whatever Money Hungry twat, and the only other type of story line is the ridiculous. This is not the show I used to love.”
Other fans discussed how back the show is as another posted, “I’ve been watching since it started in 1973. It has NEVER been worse.” Another fan shared, “It’s just watching constant bickering and whining. And what’s worse, the conversations just rehash the same things.
Nothing interesting, creative or exciting. They drink and fight at different restaurants or the park.” “I barely watch because it’s a snoozefest,” shared yet a fourth fan. Do you agree or disagree?
