The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Billy Enrages Jack, Jack’s Ultimatum, Sharon & Nick Plot
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, July 9 reveal Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) becomes enraged, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) encounters a hiccup, and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) join forces!
First off, Nick is worried about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) trusting shady Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and as a result he talks to Sharon about it.
Phyllis needs their help he says, and Sharon can’t say no after they’ve become BFFs. Sharon truly wants to help Phyllis but even better is the cherry on top–spending time with Nick!

Meanwhile, Billy hits a speedbump when his brother Jack discovers his obsession about getting back Chancellor and getting revenge on Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Billy tries to justify his actions but Jack refutes him hard. After all, Jack invested money in Abbott Communications and he expects his money to be well spent. And if Billy deviates from the plan, there will be heck to pay.
Jack delivers an ultimatum and part of his anger is the frustration he is feeling about being held hostage on Citizen Cane’s Fantasy Island.
Jack and he Others Are Hostage
Billy’s boo Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) tries to play peacemaker between the men but there’s only so much she can do! Jack and Billy have been tussling for ages and one redhead with an agenda isn’t going to change that (just ask Phyllis).
Despite her good intentions, Jack stays frustrated with Billy. He has dealt with his impulsiveness and penchant for going off the reservation many times before and he thought that Billy had really changed. Silly Jack!
Of course, Jack is right not to trust Cane, but he is more levelheaded than Billy. Jack grew up in the Abbott mansion and is secure in his legacy while Billy is not.
What Happens Next on The Young and the Restless?
It’s clear that Cane has an agenda, but Billy foolishly thinks he can beat the man at his own game. If that were true, he wouldn’t have been stuck in a train car while Cane traipsed back to GC.
