General Hospital Spoilers: Sweet Surprises, Mysterious Donations, Confident Exes
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Tuesday, April 1 tease sweet surprises, mysterious donations and confident exes! Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) helps with a sweet surprise, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) discusses a mysterious donation, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is a confident ex.
Sweet Surprises
In the hospital, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) are by Maxie’s side as she prepares a surprise gift. With excitement, Maxie shares her confidence in making it happen, unveiling a large gift bag filled with vibrant, crumpled wrapping paper peeking out from the top.
It seems they are collaborating on a special gift for head Nurse Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), who is currently a patient with a broken leg following a serious car accident.
The timing of the accident was unfortunate, occurring just before the grand opening celebration of the new cardiac wing; however, the silver lining is that Elizabeth is expected to recover.
That’s a stark contrast to the fate of her predecessor, the late Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy), who tragically lost her life while helping at a car crash.
Mysterious Donations
At the hospital, Curtis engages in a conversation with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), and it’s clear they are discussing a potential donation.
There appears to be a mysterious benefactor, likely linked to the hospital, and Curtis remarks that this enigmatic donor seems less of a mystery to Laura! It’s likely that the contribution comes from someone Laura had previously indicated they neither needed nor wanted, especially regarding the Esplanade’s takeover of the waterfront.
At this moment, Laura is only interested in bidding farewell to both Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Drew Quartermaine/Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and has no desire for anything else from them.
Lucy Has Four Words For Sidwell
It seems that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) has decided to pay a visit to Jenz at Wyndemere, eagerly announcing that she has four words that will astonish him! Clutching some documents, it looks like she may have orchestrated a real estate deal on his behalf.
Given her role as a real estate agent alongside her work with Deception Cosmetics, this certainly adds up!
Lucy might also be connected to the significant donation from the anonymous benefactor that Curtis and Laura discussed. She has strong ties to the hospital, having created the Nurses’ Ball, a charitable event that took place annually for several years.
Confident Exes
Elsewhere,, likely attending the celebration for the new cardiac wing at the hospital, are Sonny and his frequently remarried ex-wife, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
He expresses his unwavering support for her, declaring, “I would never bet against Carly Spencer!” It’s possible he’s updating her on the investigation into the individual responsible for the bombing of his penthouse, which left Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) severely injured.
Meanwhile, Carly is thankful to have survived after the polonium poisoning she experienced. Sonny’s vote of confidence might very well be tied to her remarkable recovery!
Anna Devane Compliments The Hospital
In this episode, both the hospital and the soap opera celebrate their sixty-second anniversary, with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) remarking that General Hospital looks impressive for its age! This milestone will be honored alongside Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and the ABC series itself.
Given the numerous challenges, from epidemics to sabotage, that the hospital and its staff, as well as the residents of Port Charles, have faced over the years, Anna’s observation holds true!
While Monica has been frequently referenced in recent discussions, this celebratory episode was filmed prior to the passing of Leslie Charleson in real life.
A tribute to Leslie’s offscreen death and the beloved character she portrayed for so long will be featured in an upcoming episode.

The problem is not Lucky. The writers shoved him and Elizabeth together too quick. Also the storylines for him are lackluster. Maybe clean him up a little
