A Portrait Of ‘Ghastly’ Kate Middleton Has Been Taken Down
Yikes. Some things certainly belong in storage. There’s a new report that says Princess Kate’s somewhat ‘ghastly’ Paul Emsley portrait has been taken down finally. And let’s just say that the portrait certainly isn’t doing the Princess of Wales any favors. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News: A Portrait Of ‘Ghastly’ Kate Middleton Has Been Taken Down
According to reports, the portrait has finally been put away at the National Portrait Gallery. A lot of people believe that this should have been done a long time ago as the portrait makes Kate look older than what she really is and that she also appears “dead” behind her eyes. One source close to the situation even said, “Catherine is Royal Patron of the gallery in Trafalgar Square and rumours swirl that she may be secretly pleased the work is no longer on public view. ‘It’s unthinkable that the painting of Her Royal Highness would be removed from public view without consulting her.”
It goes without saying that many royal fans and critics alike have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. And let’s just say that some of the critics haven’t been kind. Some have even commented with, “Ghostly? It looks just like her. The artist is not a miracle worker. He did his best given what he had to work with. If Kate wanted an airbrushed enhanced depiction of herself she should have commissioned a portrait by the Daily Fail,” along with, “What’s ghastly about it? She looks like a reasonably attractive woman of her age. She even looks like she might have a sense of humor.”

Another critic wrote, “I’m not a fan of hers, but they were right to remove this. I don’t like it. The use of light is weird. Normally she looks very good in all of her photos.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I don’t understand why the palace handlers didn’t take steps to bury this as soon as they saw the final.”
