The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Billy Walks Into A Ruthless Chancellor Trap – Sally Sounds The Alarm!
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) listened to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), which is something he should always do when she’s giving him advice.
As fans have seen, Sally’s had a generally positive effect on Billy. Her intentions toward him are genuine, and she offers advice meant for his best interests.
Her insight into Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) response to Billy wanting Chancellor is wise. He apparently hadn’t considered that a trap was being set for him.
Lily Winters And Cane Ashby Are The Schemers
Like Sally, Lily feels that something is off. They don’t know why Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) wouldn’t have repaid one of her high school friends, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas).
It’s a great point. Katherine’s late husband, Phillip Chancellor II (Donnelly Rhodes), seems to have made the deal with John, who loaned money to Chancellor Industries to keep it afloat in the 1970s.
That happened before Phillip died as the result of injuries suffered in a car accident caused by an inebriated Katherine, who was trying to kill them both.
Lily believes that there’s a deeper secret, which goes beyond the unpaid loan and the Abbott family being entitled to own Chancellor as a result.
Sally’s suggestion to Billy, about him potentially walking into a trap through his family taking legal control of the company, is wise advice.
Lily Winters Doesn’t Want To Take The Fall
Winters Incorporated plays hardball. For all the talk of doing good, Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) daughter has become a slick business head.
She doesn’t trust Billy and likely never will again. Lily hasn’t forgotten how unbearable Billy made their last business stint together.
It’s not that Lily is seeking revenge. No, she’s protecting her business and family while also wanting to pin down exactly why that outstanding loan exists and determine what other information exists in Chancellor’s buried past.
Billy Abbott Is The Enduring Poor Soul
Soap fans know that certain characters are created and maintained to fill a certain niche. The alter ego Thompson portrays on this show has been the enduring poor soul, which is a respectful and heartfelt way of describing his attempts to advance in life.
Translated to daytime language, Billy can’t ever get out of the rut in his life. This arguably happened when he became an adult but is fueled by his childhood with Jill Abbott (Last played by Lauren Koslow, with Jess Walton having portrayed this character for many decades before her). That’s Billy’s blame game conclusion.
Billy thinks that his mother withheld this information about the Abbott family being entitled to Chancellor from him because it would have resulted in Jill losing her place in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
But the unknown secret that Sally and Lily aren’t sure of could be anything, including Jill protecting people’s reputations, including her son’s.
