The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Patty’s Frame-Up Falls Apart Once Jack Speaks?
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) thought she’d won. So, did Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Neither of them suspected what they’d discover in the Abbott mansion’s dining room.
Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) miscalculation won’t prove deadly. Yes, he was viciously stabbed on the right side of his stomach with a large knife by Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). Most people would have bled out on the floor, but he didn’t.
Viewers suspect that Jack will awaken after his life is saved at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. It’s natural for his loved ones to fear the worst, but seasoned soap opera fans know better.
Jack Abbott’s Foolish Decisions Allowed Opportunity
No one in their right mind would allow someone with Patty’s history to move into the Abbott mansion. Add to it that she committed many crimes against Jack and the Abbotts in daytime days gone by.
Yet, Jack agreed to that cracked demand and then went a step further. He believed she could be better outwitted if Kyle and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) weren’t living with them. So, they were told to leave the mansion, and that allowed her to eventually knife him.
Jack should have been working with the authorities all along, or he could have had a private security force someone around the mansion and outside of Patty’s view. But he didn’t, which allowed this storyline to flow.
Diane Jenkins Abbott’s Safety In Mind
Kyle didn’t have a good answer for Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) when asked why he and Jack didn’t contact him. Mealor’s character explained that they didn’t want to tip Patty off.
Well, she learned some of what was happening anyway. Then, Diane made a miscalculation.
She answered Patty’s call while at Dr. Laurence Markham’s (Jere Burns) compound. So, Patty knew that her alliance was busted and that Diane and Kyle were on their way home. That allowed a chance to build the murder frame that she’s trying to fit over Diane’s head.
Patty Williams Never Dies
Will this be the final farewell for one of Y&R’s longest-running villains?
It’s always fair to wonder if the character Haiduk plays is heading for the exit. Of course, she could be presumed dead like Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
At the very least, Jack will awaken and report that Patty stabbed him. That should allow James to arrest her, as long as she’s still in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and hasn’t escaped.
Haiduk’s latest turn has been wonderful. Her nuanced performance and the ability to project such a range of emotion through her facial expressions alone are just one mark of a great actor. Here’s hoping Patty doesn’t perish because then viewers can see Haiduk reprise her role in the future.

Stacy Haiduk is a wonderful actress, she has Patty’s madness down pat, and she became Kristen Damiera after Y & R’s own Eileen Davidson left the roll to her. She knows how to play the Mean Mean Mean Kristen or her alter ego Susan Banks, her half brother’s Mother. With Patty, she is full blown Crazy as a loon, and her actions want to make you hate her with a passion. Paul Williams had the misfortune to have a sister that was off the rails, and we have the mighty Victor to blame for her recent antics. Someone needs to unleash all the horrible things he has done so he gets punished for his part in these crimes. We’ll miss you Stacy, you play a great Crazy vicious nut!!!!!
