In fact, it seems like their feud with one member in particular, Donald Jr., just went public.
Even though the President of the United States has always been very close with all of his adult children, it seems like something must have changed in recent years.
Donald Trump said last month that he couldn’t attend his son’s wedding in the Bahamas because he was too busy dealing with the ongoing war in Iran.
Yet, a lot of people have pointed out that the President of the United States had no problem finding the time to attend the NBA finals and watch his hometown team of the New York Knicks take on the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.
Talk about different priorities, right? It’s not like the way just magically ended, yet Donald Trump seemed to have found the time to attend a basketball game but didn’t want anything to do with his son and his new wife.
What’s Next For The Trumps?
This has prompted a lot of people to wonder if Donald and Melania Trump are truly trying to distance themselves from Donald Jr. While no one knows what their fight might be about, it’s also pretty clear that the young Trump is less active in his father’s administration this second term, too.
For Melania Trump in particular though, she’s over it. While she wasn’t very close with any of Donald’s children to begin with, at least now she doesn’t have to pretend that she enjoys spending time with them, let alone being in the same room as them.
Then again, it’s not up to her to patch up this feud, right? If Donald really wanted to be at his son’s wedding, he would have done everything in his power to be there, but that simply didn’t happen.
So far the Trumps have not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
