The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor Shocked Back To Reality – Nikki’s Health Crisis Follows Nick’s Drama
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) threw the supposed love of his life out into the cold Midwestern spring in the recent past.
He didn’t know that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) would soon face a health crisis, but that’s arrived.
Dovetailing with their son’s overdose and next-day bounce back from the literal dead, Nikki has been dealing with increasingly debilitating head pain. A headache can be problematic, but generally isn’t serious.
Viewers sensed that the spotlight on Thomas Scott’s character meant that Nikki was going to follow Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to Genoa City Memorial Hospital. Teasers indicate that’s next.
Nick Newman Put His Life At Risk
The instant contrast between Nick’s near-death scare and the symptoms that Nikki is exhibiting is free will.
Nick voluntarily chose to begin taking the illicit substances that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) put in his path before Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) beat him over the head with a rock, which resulted in amnesia.
Nick, like anyone who becomes addicted, loses control of free will because the drugs take effect. But he made that first choice.
Devoted fans recall that Matt wanted to create a scenario where Nick would overdose, and eventually he did. But the reforming Matt recognized what was happening to Nick, went into action, and saved his life.
Nikki Newman Forced Off The Wagon
One of the more compelling storylines of this decade had the fabulous Colleen Zenk (Jordan Howard) join the cast as Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) aunt and Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) great aunt.
Jordan was intent on getting revenge on Victor for his perceived past crimes against her sister. So, she lured Nikki into a trap and then fed her alcohol through an intravenous tube.
In the above instance, Nikki was not capable of using her free will. She didn’t choose to ingest alcohol. It was forced into her system.
The crisis that’s developing hasn’t been fleshed out, but it appears to be physically related.
Victor Newman Breaks Down And Reverts
Victor’s stance on Nikki’s resistance to his business plans is ridiculous. He, those around him, and all observers on the other side of the screen know that she’s been proven right.
The exiled head of Newman Enterprises never should have gotten involved with the artificial intelligence tool Nikki warned him against.
It proved to be the tool Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) used to boot Victor out of his company, which he hasn’t yet regained control of.
However, as has been true in past instances, Nikki is his heart. Her unfolding crisis will cause Victor to break, admit his mistakes, and reaffirm his love for her. Though this is daytime, this storyline will need to play out, rather than happen quickly.
