The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Nick Needs Rehab Now & Patty Solves The Matt Problem?
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the Newman family continues to shrug its collective shoulders and allow Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to be captured by his addiction. This isn’t sustainable and arguably not believable.
Nick has allowed himself to become trapped in the throes of addiction. He had free will and chose to take that first pill, which makes him initially responsible.
However, a balanced view of Nick’s addiction also fully recognizes reality. The poor guy has lost control and needs the help of his loved ones to get off the illicit substances that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) initially presented to him.
Matt Clark Is The Villain Despite His Amnesia
Matt has only become worthy of conditional pity. The man has amnesia.
However, and this is a complete use of the conjunction, Howarth’s character initiated the scenario where his wife had to defend herself.
As viewers recall, he was choking her, and it appeared that the Grim Reaper would soon arrive to take Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) off the earth.
So, she reached for a rock in the stark Las Vegas, Nevada, desert and knocked him hard on the head repeatedly.
How he survived is a matter of conjecture. Viewers know they suspend disbelief so that Howarth can remain part of the cast and continue to delight them with his brilliant range.
Sharon Newman Has To Step Up
Other than his family, no one knows Nick better than his ex-wife and the mother of two of his children, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). She is a licensed therapist and has the expertise to intervene.
Sharon also has sway with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who surely can see that Nick is not himself.
Beyond that, Sharon has a unique connection with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who continues to be the most aggressive in discussing his brother’s fragile state.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recently became aware of his oldest son’s problem. At least Nick was upfront and told his father what happened. Sharon can also go to Victor, because he has the ability to make a rehab check-in happen.
Nick Newman Finishes The Job?
Nick has convinced himself that he needs those multicolored pills to manage his pain so that he can finish the job. That task is the end of Matt forever.
Howarth’s hire, as the Matt recast, is noteworthy and implies that a dramatic storyline would play out. That assumption has proven exact.
Finishing Matt is hardly an easy task, and it’s one that Nick would seem unlikely to finish. Better bets would be on the women Matt has wronged, doing so, or potentially an anti-hero doing the job.
Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) knows Matt now. Her violent history makes her an ideal candidate to be the character who permanently solves the problem he represents.
