Kristina Reminisced About A Huge Crush On Ethan
In the April 20 episode, Kristina reminisced about having a huge crush on Ethan when she was younger.
Ethan remembered Kristina saying she would marry him one day, which made Kristina feel embarrassed. Ethan thought it was sweet and recalled wishing Kristina was about five years older back then.
That’s when Kristina made a comment that surprised many viewers; “Well, I am more than five years older now, but unfortunately my type has changed a little bit,” Kristina stated.
Then she discussed Blaze, also known as Allison “Allie” Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), and her revelation that she was now “deeply single.”
Ethan Said It Was Just His Luck!
“What a coincidence! You’ve matured, you’re stunning, you’re intelligent, you’re single, and you have no interest in me,” Ethan said.
Kristina made it clear that while she might not want to date Ethan, she was certainly keen on being his friend.
This whole interaction ignited a discussion on social media regarding Kristina’s sexuality and whether she had truly placed Ethan in the friend zone. Kristina has clearly been involved with men before, but then chemistry developed with her professor, Parker Forsyth (Ashley Jones).

In 2018, Kristina spoke with Daisy Kwan (Kelsey Wang) about identifying “as bi most of the time;” however, Kristina revisited her sexuality in 2024 during Perez Hilton’s guest appearance.
After Perez stated that Kristina had “been openly gay for some time,” Kristina affirmed that she indeed had been.
On X (previously known as Twitter), Kate Mansi indicated that this statement was misinterpreted and commented on Kristina’s bisexuality.
“I’ve kept quiet for a while now, but let me clarify. If you’ve actually followed the storyline, Kristina is a BISEXUAL woman,” Mansi said in August 2024.
The Show Seems To Be Contradicting Itself
The show seems contradictory again as Kristina denies any romantic feelings for Ethan and says her preferences have changed; some think Ethan and Kristina might develop a slow-burn romance from their friendship.
