General Hospital Spoilers: Lulu vs Nathan vs Maxie — Who’s the Most Loyal in the Bunch?
General Hospital spoilers spill Felicia Scorpio’s (Kristina Wagner) lecture to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) on Thursday’s episode sent shockwaves throughout the fanbase.
She wasn’t wrong when she implied it wasn’t likely that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would be okay with Lulu and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) being romantically involved.
When Lulu conveyed that it would be wrong of Maxie to think she gets to hold onto Nathan even though she’s already chosen Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Felicia countered, reminding her she isn’t likely to hold onto both her best friend and her best friend’s husband.
Ouch! Painful, but again, not wrong. So, out of all three of them, who can we actually expect will be the most loyal in this trio?
Lulu Loses Out
Lulu isn’t perfect, and she’d be the first person to admit that. She confided in Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about her feelings for Nathan because she was so upset over betraying Maxie. That was never her intention.
At the same time, she knew these feelings were taking shape for some time, and she wasn’t exactly trying to stay away from Nathan.
Instead, she kept finding reasons to invite him back into her orbit. Weeks ago, before Maxie woke up, Lulu might have felt bad about that betrayal. Today, she seems more concerned that it’ll cost her and she won’t be able to have her cake and eat it too.
Maxie Makes the Most of Things
On one hand, Maxie might completely take this in stride and try to look on the bright side.
She’s out of the coma and back with the man she loves and their children. She’s looking forward to a healthy life with them and appreciative of being back on her feet and at work.
On the other hand, she might blow this out of the water and completely overreact (or not) to the betrayal she feels.
While Maxie made some major mistakes way back in the day when she was younger — like that whole surrogate mess where she was the one betraying Lulu and her then-husband, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampronga), Maxie has grown up a lot.
Her loyalty to Nathan never wavered, but it seems like Spinelli has outpaced it now. How does she feel about her best friend, though? She’s the one who kept her secrets and painted her nails during the four years Lulu was in a coma. Any questions?
Nathan is Not So Nice
Nathan hasn’t exactly been careful about the moves he’s been making. If he is, that’s probably because they’re calculated.
His choice to kiss Lulu during that snowstorm seemed like an event that wouldn’t have happened had he not pursued it.
Then, the gloves were off, and he started telling the truth about his feelings for her.
Why wasn’t he in Boston visiting Maxie while she was in the coma? Why wasn’t he bonding more with his son and making up for lost time with his in-laws? Why wasn’t he still trying to forge a future with the family he had built instead of out chasing Lulu? I think it’s pretty clear who the most and least loyal parties are in this equation.
