General Hospital Spoilers: An Erratic Anna is Convinced Faison is Alive — Where is This Headed?
General Hospital spoilers tease Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been trapped in a cell for months being tortured slowly, conditioning her to lose her mind.
Now, we’re expected to think that has happened? Think again. The last we saw Anna, she was about to crumble to her knees upon seeing a man who presumably looked a whole lot like Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) walk into the room — terrifying her and making her question everything that she thought was real.
From Peter August (Wes Ramsey) appearing in her room to taunt her, to Faison teasing they would spend the rest of their lives together, it was all starting to make sense — until Anna turned up on the streets of France. Where are we headed next?
Calling for Reinforcements
When Emma Scorpio Drake (Bradyn Bruner) got the call that her grandmother was in trouble and stopped traffic in France to warn people that Cesar Faison is alive, she knew instantly that something was wrong.
Mac and Felicia Scoprio (John J. York, Kristina Wagner) did their best to allay her fears while trying not to project their own onto her, but concern was written all over Felicia’s face.
Will she see through any act Anna is portraying when they touch ground in Europe, or will they all fall for the scam that may be laid out before them?
Who is Behind the Curtain?
We still don’t know who is behind this delicately orchestrated payback scheme. Clearly, someone has a bone to pick with Anna.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) coming back to life only laid tracks for what was to come, and it seems it’s been a long time coming.
Is it really Faison living out his wildest dreams to take over Anna and play God, or has someone or something else — like the WSB — latched onto his mad scientist machinations and figured out how to use them against people like Anna?
Doppelgangers All Around
With so many fans questioning whether Nathan is actually Nathan, and praying Britt really is Britt, it only makes sense that we question whether some sort of cloning device is in play, or whether Faison’s work fashioned a method of bringing the dead back to life.
If that’s the case, we may not be dealing with a case of Anna gone mad. Instead, we may be dealing with a case of Alex Merrick (Finola Hughes) being resurrected.
Could it be that Anna is still slowly losing her mind in that cell on Spoon Island while her late sister has been brought back to step into her life? Recall that when Anna was first captured, a voice akin to Faison’s told her to get ready to live someone else’s life.
