The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Eric’s Gift To Katie – Logan Becomes Instant Forrester Creations’ Rival
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) is retired, as his son, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), urged. But what the co-head of Forrester Creations never anticipated was his father giving a massive gift that would help Logan launch.
Katie Spencer (Heather Tom) is starting on the ground floor as she begins to build her fashion house. Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) wedding gift to his renewed wife included his full emotional and financial support, with the expectation that Katie would exceed everyone’s expectations.
Hiring Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) as her first designer is a move that Ridge and his co-Chief Executive Officer, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), could slough off.
However, receiving Eric’s newest designs is something the FC leads can hardly fathom.
Ridge Forrester Backed By Brooke Logan Forrester
Ridge and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) are adamant about two plot points. They believe Eric should be retired because his health would be affected otherwise. They are also certain that Katie shouldn’t be allowed to name her new business Logan.
On the first point, Ridge and Brooke are well-intentioned. On the second point, they are both arguably arrogant.
Katie is a Logan and while she hasn’t held that family name for as many years as her oldest sister, Tom’s character was fully justified in believing she could use it. FC being lax in holding the legal name rights to Logan proved to be good fortune as well.
Katie Logan Spencer Motivated To Prove Herself
Bill did something that was both genuinely supportive of his wife and clever business.
He gave Katie the ability to realize her full career potential while the FC contingent was sidelining her and had no plans to ever allow that Logan family member to have any decisive say in their fashion business.
Katie was floored that Brooke insisted she had a say over the name of the new Spencer Publications fashion venture. That, on its face, is ridiculous. But Brooke would have gotten her way if it weren’t for FC’s legal department being lax.
Now, armed with emotional motivation that she didn’t consider when accepting Bill’s gift, many Forrester family members have unwittingly created a rival who is directly focused on proving them wrong and paying them back.
Eric Forrester Wants To Reassert Legacy
Eric understood Ridge’s feelings. He knows that Ridge loves him and didn’t truly mean any harm in having the ill-fated retirement party.
But fashion still pumps through Eric’s blood. He can’t stop designing, no matter how many people tell him he should stop.
Being a world-famous fashion house co-founder, Eric’s legacy will continue to be built until he eventually joins Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) in heaven.
Until that time, hopefully in the far-off future, McCook’s character, who has been on B&B since the first episode of this series in 1987, is determined to keep his vision current.
That’s why he and Katie are in sync, as Ridge, Brooke, Steffy, and the world will soon learn. This is the start of what projects as a great storyline.
