The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Deke’s Future Hangs in the Balance After Katie’s Surprising Opportunity
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is proud of his children, which is something he shares in common with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).
Viewers wondered what might come of those two characters commiserating at the wedding and that has become clearer.
Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) is out at Forrester Creations. One of the co-heads who approved of that change is Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). That’s another common point Deacon and Bill share.
Their mutual distaste for Ridge could play into Bill being open to Deke going to work for Spencer’s new fashion house. Of course, that decision will be Katie Spencer’s (Heather Tom) to make.
Thomas Forrester Is The Prodigal Son
Soap opera writers borrow from classic stories. That’s clearly been done with the Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) character, who recently returned to Los Angeles, California, and announced he was retaking the lead designer spot at Forrester Creations.
His dad and sister, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), quickly made that happen, which left Deke out in the cold just days before Christmas.
He has long been the unstable villain. But the difference between him and a more recent example, like Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), is how their families reacted.
Ridge has protected Thomas, including turning his head away from him, running Emma Barber (Nia Sioux) off Mulholland Drive to her death.
In contrast, Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) was relieved when she thought her daughter had died, and after that actually happened. John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) wanted his daughter to face justice after her criminality was revealed.
Deke Sharpe Just Wants A Chance
Deke was thrilled when learning that FC’s top brass loved his creations. Rather than use his sister, who is the inspiration and head of Hope for the Future, he anonymously submitted his portfolio for consideration.
Hope, Ridge, Steffy, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) loved his work and gave Deke a trial position.
He assumed prospects for contributing to his HFF were promising because a lead designer wasn’t in place at that point in the plot.
While Cone’s character was devastated. He handled the rejection with style, further reinforcing his good guy status, surely set to contrast against Thomas’ braggadocio.
Speaking with Deacon is natural after being let go. Deke will receive encouragement, and persistence is what led Kanan’s character to reform his life after prison. So, Deke can and will rebound from this temporary career setback.
Katie Spencer Is Ready To Roll
Katie’s life has dramatically changed. No longer single, she’s remarried to the one and only Dollar Bill.
Presenting his famous sword necklace to Bill was a tell. It not only meant that she likes his toughness, while appreciating how he’s grown, but that she’s also ready for battle.
Going up against FC won’t be easy. But the Forrester family probably won’t take her seriously. That will change when she begins to staff her fashion house.
Deke’s availability implies he’ll be hired but that won’t create waves. Instead, the hires that follow will ignite the soapy flame.
