General Hospital Spoilers: Can Brad Redeem Himself Enough to Get Lucas Back?
General Hospital spoilers suggest Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) has his sights set on getting back together with his ex-hubby, Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).
There’s just one problem — Lucas is living on Spoon Island in a love bubble with Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo). Ah, if only Brad could find a way to burst that bubble, and in a manner that would leave Lucas in despair and seeking comfort in his ex’s arms. A guy can dream.
Anyway, Brad has a lot of work cut out for himself if he thinks his only job is breaking Lucas and Marco up.
Has Brad Changed?
Recall that before Brad ever left town, he was spending time with Brad again and ultimately decided he couldn’t be with him after Brad revealed what he’d been up to blackmailing Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
Then Lucas met Marco and things evolved from there. So, even when Lucas was single, he wasn’t willing to settle for Brad when he was up to his old tricks. In other words, Brad has to level up and clean up his act to be good enough for Lucas.
Marco might be a roadblock, but for the most part, it has historically been Brad who can’t get out of his own way. Is there reason to believe that has changed?
GH Spoilers Gossip Too Much Water is Under the Bridge
Even if Brad has pulled himself together while traveling the world, dating models, and blowing the cash he took off with, that might not be enough to mend the scars on Lucas’ heart.
There is so much to unpack here. Before Brad left, it seemed like Lucas had forgiven him for the way their marriage fell apart after Brad lied about their adopted son’s death and swapped him out with Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver).
Giving credit where it’s due, it was progress that Brad was able to come clean with Lucas and tell him what had done to Portia.
He wanted to do right by him, but Lucas just couldn’t overlook it — and there is little reason for us to think that has changed this year.
The Jury is Still Out
It’s too soon to say whether Brad stands any chance at ever reconciling with Lucas.
They’re not even what most would call friends, and it’s likely that when Lucas told him it would’ve been okay of Brad to reach out and say he was coming home, that he was just being polite.
Lucas is like that. He knows when to use decorum — a trait Brad has never been able to fully develop.
Are they just too different to come together again? Honestly, I’m not sure how they ever made sense! What do you think? Will Brad and Lucas reunite, or do you sense Brad might find a way to blow up Lucas’ lovelife only to catch the blame for it later and lose Lucas all over again? Share your thoughts below, and stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers up ahead.

My personal jury says Lucas is much better off without Brad. Brad can change for a period of time, but seems to always revert back to his bad behavior persona. Instead of pairing Brad, I feel he should have been paired with Felix. Although a Felix/Lucas pairing wouldn’t have brought the problems being paired with Brad has, I think aFelix/Lucas pairing would have worked until writers decided to break them up as is done with all pairings who are doing well in their relationship.
