General Hospital spoilers say that while there’s no doubt that he probably has a long list of regrets from the past, this might be one mistake that still haunts him to this very day.
Was This Sonny’s Worst Mistake?
Of course, we are talking about Sonny Corinthos and why he left Brenda at the altar. It was a heartbreaking moment in General Hospital history, but also a very defining one for both characters.
As viewers can recall, Sonny was traumatized over Lily, his enemies had a hit on him and they said they’d kill Brenda in front of him. Jason had it set up very well for him to escape and live without the mob but I don’t blame Sonny for doing it. Brenda was Sonny’s everything.
It was horrible and Brenda was absolutely devastated but was Sonny wrong for doing this? THat’s what fans still can’t help but wonder.
Clearly, General Hospital fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “Yes, he was 100% wrong. They’d been through too much not to get married.”
General Hospital Spoilers: Does Sonny Regret Leaving Brenda At The Altar?
“Brenda and most of the viewers were devastated. I blame the writers. They could have easily had them get married and then fake killed Sonny. But nooo, GH has always been stuck on pain when it comes to SnB.”
Another critic wrote, “Considering his lifestyle he made the right choice. She may not have survived if they stayed together. Though it seems she is a magnet for mobsters.”
And then there was this comment as well: “There was a hit on them. Sonny planned on marrying her until the very last minute, but they were threatened again on their wedding day and Sonny had a nightmare the night before about Brenda dying.”
Now, whether or not Sonny Corinthos ever thinks back about that moment, no one really knows. But at the same time, there have been calls by fans to bring back Brenda on the canvas.
