But Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) reveal about Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) terminal diagnosis created a chain reaction.

Liam might be living out the last weeks or months of his life. If that proves true, their family, which includes Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), won’t be reunited for long.
But what if the experimental treatment Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) suggested is pursued and works?
Assume Liam is initially given an extended period to live. Hope will be supporting his ongoing treatment throughout the spring and summer. The powerful emotions tied to that daytime process will impact Hope’s thought process.
Carter Walton Feels Grounded Again
Carter has suffered an unusual amount of heartache. The Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) experience was particularly vexing because she was set free by Eric Forrester (John McCook) but inexplicably left Los Angeles, California.
Viewers were never given a digestible explanation for why Quinn chose to leave after realizing what seemed to be a very promising connection with Carter. Those characters risked their personal lives to be together.
Then, one day, Quinn was gone, and all the audience eventually heard was Carter explaining that she left town. It didn’t feel right, and it didn’t.
That unresolved storyline can constantly be revisited in the future. But for now, Hope is his newest love. He’s devoted to making a life with her, and she seems sincere in wanting to do the same. However, Liam’s crisis will require her to focus on him intensely.
Liam Spencer And Daphne Rose Aren’t Out
Liam’s death would mean the end for one of this show’s main characters. Such a significant decision would represent a sea change, so time will tell if it actually happens.
Hilaire’s highly engaging character appears to have much plot space to play, assuming she’s not written out of the show. Here’s hoping this actor stays, and a triangle between her, Carter, and Hope forms because a believable soap would result.
Hope and Carter might become a couple if Liam lives and Daphne doesn’t return to France. However, those outcomes would create the type of conflict that has enabled this soap to thrive across the decades.
