The former star of The Young and the Restless, Alyvia Alyn Lind, is keeping herself quite occupied! Reports indicate that Lind has landed a leading role alongside Olivia Colman, Brie Larson, and Shawn Hatosy in FX’s upcoming limited series, Cry Wolf, which is created by Sarah Treem.
This series is inspired by the Danish drama Ulven Kommer (Cry Wolf) written by Maja Jul Larsen.
It is a psychological family thriller that centers around social worker Kath (Olivia Colman) and a mother named April (Brie Larson). They find themselves in turmoil when April’s teenage daughter, Mia (Alyvia Alyn Lind), makes an abuse accusation.
The Abuse Claim Tests The Emotional Resilience Of Both Women
This claim tests the emotional resilience of both women as they deal with a challenging, high-pressure scenario. Cry Wolf is being executive produced by Treem (who also takes on the role of showrunner), Olivia Colman through her South of the River Pictures, Melissa Bernstein from Special Interests, and Brie Larson.
The production is handled by FX Productions, and although it is in pre-production per IMDB, and slated for a premiere in 2026 or 2027.
Shawn Hatosy is set to portray April’s husband and Mia’s stepfather, who finds himself at the heart of the girl’s abuse claims.
Alyvia Alyn Lind Played Faith Newman From 2011 To 2021
Y&R fans will recall Lind for her portrayal of Faith Newman, a role she held from 2011 to 2021.
In addition, she played the young Dolly Parton in the TV films Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors and Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.
Outside of daytime television, she took on the character of Angelica Green in Netflix’s Daybreak-moreover, she portrayed Lexy Cross in the SyFy/USA horror series Chucky from 2021 to 2024.
Lind is the youngest daughter of actress Barbara Alyn Woods and producer John Lind, hailing from a family deeply rooted in acting, her sisters, Natalie Alyn Lind and Emily Alyn Lind, are also actresses.
In September 2025, she shared the screen with Toni Collette in the Netflix series Wayward, where she played Leila; and won Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.
