The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Hits Breaking Point – Mariah’s Story Demands More Drama

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) believed she had a ticket to ride. Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) was the vehicle she planned to use to rise from the ashes once more.
But the intended reemergence of Genoa City, Wisconsin’s self-labeled phoenix, appears dashed. Cane’s decision to nix his artificial intelligence plan means that Phyllis is likely out in the pre-winter cold.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) planned to freelance, taking the AI tool and using it to threaten Newman Enterprises’ existence. He genuinely believed that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would capitulate and surrender Chancellor.
Billy Abbott’s Far-Fetched Plans Going Nowhere
Fans know that this is soap. So, Billy might have scored a short-term victory, but it wouldn’t have passed the believability test if it had endured long-term.
Victor probably would have rejected Billy’s threat or, more coyly, engaged him and used it to reverse the tables. Cane’s endgame, seizing all of GC’s legacy companies, wasn’t fully fleshed out.
Viewers have had to piece together bits of dialogue between Cane and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) over the summer. What’s been gleaned is that he planned to have Billy put himself in jeopardy by goading Victor and then somehow use that to seize control of Newman Enterprises, with Jabot to follow.
Phyllis Summers Put Herself In A Bad Spot
What has Phyllis gotten through her association with Billy and then Cane?
A short answer would be trouble.
Cane’s recruitment of those erratic personalities always seemed to be purposeful and to a bad end. Billy never trusted Cane, but Phyllis was willing to believe because she believed no other options existed.
It’s sad to see someone who was once so fierce fall as far as she has. But like Billy, Phyllis has a penchant for sabotaging herself.
She should pursue personal stabilization and, most importantly, love. A career, money, or presumed levels of power don’t provide what Phyllis truly values. She wants strong bonds with her family to persist and grow, and finding a new or renewed romantic connection would be best.

Mariah Copeland Is Lost In The Plot
Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland) has long been one of this show’s great actors. Her indelible run as Cassie Newman will forever live in the hearts of devoted fans, while her second character has allowed other elements of Grimes’ range to shine.
However, the storyline that’s been unusually veiled for such a long period of time is confusing. Fans must ask why details of Mariah smothering a man many years her senior haven’t been detailed as the fall approaches.
Here’s hoping that Mariah tells Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), or someone what happened with the man whose presence conjured thoughts of Ian Ward (Ray Wise) when she was on a business trip. The audience needs to know the truth, and this plot needs to be pushed immediately so that Mariah can move forward.
