General Hospital Spoilers: Crucial Questions, Tough Love Answers, Calling A Truce
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Tuesday, April 22 tease crucial questions, tough love answers, and calling a truce.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) asks crucial questions, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) gives some tough love answers, and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) up for calling a truce.
Crucial Questions
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) opens up to Curtis about the dangerous procedure that Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) is determined to undergo. Curtis questions whether she can handle the consequences if she fails to prevent Kai from going through with it, especially if things take a turn for the worse.
Although the operation is still in its early experimental phase, Curtis recalls how a similar procedure helped him regain his ability to walk, despite the lack of a concerning history like this one has.
Portia had warned Kai against the surgery, leading to a heated conversation between Trina and Kai during lunch. Now, Trina seeks Curtis’s advice on her next steps.
Best Options
In another part of the law office, a frustrated Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) confides in Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy); she suggests that the best option is to let things be. Jens Sidwell (Carlo Rota) had recently approached her, trying to persuade her to hire his son, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
Although Diane was prepared to dismiss him after learning that Sidwell is Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) father, Sonny proposed a different solution. However, it’s unclear whether Alexis is discussing Marco or her own daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), in relation to the judicial commitment that Diane had suggested.
Given Alexis’s distress over the idea of admitting Kristina to a psychiatric facility, it seems likely that her concerns are directed toward that situation.
Tough Love Answers
Meanwhile, Kristina is having a serious conversation with Lucky at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house, where Lucky’s offering some tough love.
Lucky had previously helped Kristina cover up her act of cutting Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) brake lines and suggested she claim she was at Charlie’s doing inventory on the night of the accident. However, that was before he learned that Elizabeth was in the car with Ric, and while she will recover, her leg is severely injured.
Overcome with emotion, Kristina expresses that the only way to find freedom is to confess, but there’s a crucial question to consider. Is this her decision alone, or is it influenced by Lucky?
Important Updates
Elsewhere, Kai is updating Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) about the experimental surgery he previously mentioned to Trina, which Drew has arranged and is financing.
He inquires whether Drew believes it’s a wise decision that’ he’s “in”, hinting that Kai may be experiencing some uncertainty about the procedure. Drew is likely to motivate him to proceed with the surgery, and when Kai refers to being “in,” it likely pertains to the operation itself.
Additionally, Drew has chosen Kai to serve as a spokesperson for children’s health, a role he is eager to embrace.
In Agreement, Or Not?
Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is having a conversation with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to confirm their shared plans. They had both previously decided that they did not want their grandchildren to be raised by Drew in the event that something happens to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). Additionally, they expressed their discontent with the idea of the children living with Willow and Drew, who have recently moved in together.
Their goal is to devise a strategy to make Willow understand Drew’s true nature and intentions. The question remains: what strategies have they developed, and what are they scheming; in the end, Carly ends up betraying a trusted ally.
Calling A Truce
Meanwhile, Jason is having a conversation with Willow, expressing that they—presumably referring to both of them—must confront someone and put an end to the ongoing conflict once and for all.
The latest promo revealed Willow stating that she needs to confront her husband, suggesting that the “him” Jason mentions is likely Michael Corinthos, last played by Chad Duell. However, since Jason speaks of wanting to conclude a war, he might actually be alluding to Drew! Willow appears to be seeking assistance from Jason, and those are his reflections—there has certainly been a battle between Drew and Jason! It will be intriguing to see how this situation unfolds!
The Return Of Bad Ava!
In another part of the hospital, Ava Jerome (Maura West) makes a grand entrance into a patient room, declaring that “Ava Jerome” has returned! This is likely Ric’s room, as he hasn’t been discharged-it seems that the so-called “good Ava”—if she was ever truly changed—is gone, and “bad Ava” has made her comeback! This “bad Ava” has a history of stealing her adult daughter’s boyfriends and tampering with Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) bipolar medication, which contributed to his tragic death.
What schemes does this unpredictable temptress have in store this time? Is she planning more blackmail involving the footage of Kristina sabotaging Ric’s brake lines?
