General Hospital fans have spoken. It seems as though a lot of fans want actress Emme Rylan to come back to play Lulu Spencer as the character seems to have gotten so unlikeable that there are no redeeming qualities left in her. And of course, that has a lot of Lulu fans very worried about her future.
General Hospital News: Is It Time For Emme Rylan To Come Back?
Lulu is currently played by actress Alexa Havins. Even though Emme Rylan did express some interest in wanting to come back after it was announced that her character would be waking up from her coma, the producers of the show went with a recast instead.
Fast-forward to the present time and it seems like Lulu has gotten very unrecoginzable. She is no longer that “girl’s girl” that everyone remembers her well by as she’s gone totally against Brook Lynn and is shaming her for some of the decisions that she made when she was only a teen.
Not only that, but she’s also threatening to tell Dante the truth about his son Gio before Brook Lynn or anyone else in the family has an opportunity to say it themselves.
For fans, they’ve had enough of this version of Lulu as there’s just nothing they like about her anymore.
But will bringing back Emme Rylan to the canvas change anything? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder. Sure, General Hospital viewers miss seeing Emme. But it whether or not she would be able to take the character in a different direction given the current storyline and where it’s headed remains to be seen.

Actress has nothing to do with storyline. That is writers. The writers have not only made Lulu awful but Drew too. Both stories are awful. I have started fast forwarding through parts of show and I have been watching for about 40 years.
What do people think is going to change by bringing Emme back? Don’t get me wrong I do like her and I like Alexia . It’s not her Alexia’s fault, this is the way the writers have her character going! Bringing Emme back isn’t going to change the writing! I think people myself included thought it would be Emme when it was announced Lulu was coming back! No-one knows why it wasn’t her but it is what it is and Alexia is doing just fine!!!

True AH is doing a good job with what she has been given but, what she has been given to portray is quite questionable. Lulu’s full attention since her return has been focused on finding Charlotte, and sticking her nose into others’ business. Lulu hasn’t had any rewarding re-connection scenes with Rocco and hasn’t been seen in an hours worth of scenes with him who is also her child since her awakening. Poor decision by writers to have Lulu so self centered, single minded and not caring about anyone or anything except what she feels is correct.
At this point, don’t know if ER would return to canvas the character would get a better persona. The way writers are envisioning Lulu, I’m glad ER had nothing to do with the story line of Lulu’s awakening. Writers have almost written Lulu into the corner to which characters are put when they are close to being removed from canvas. Laura does need family on canvas and if Lulu’s return is adjusted, perhaps even AH would be accepted and the character’s resurrection would be applauded by viewers.
