General Hospital Spoilers: Is Dr. Isaiah Gannon Working With Cyrus Renault to Pick Off GH Patients?
General Hospital Spoilers assert that we all know Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is guilty of murdering Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) — and of attempting to kill Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), too.
What we don’t know is why Cyrus is keen on killing anyone now, how he’s picking his victims, whether he has killed anyone else, and if he’s working alone.
Suffice it to say it’s no small task sneaking into a hospital room and injecting a patient’s IV with a lethal dose of Digitalis.
Moreover, Cyrus was recently banned from visiting patients at the hospital entirely, so it’s not even all that easy for him to gain access to any floor where patient care is happening.
Could it be that someone else is helping him to secure his drug supply and ushering him into patients’ rooms when no one else is looking — and might that someone else be Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson)?
General Hospital Spoilers — The Coast is Clear
Cyrus would need someone he can trust on the inside at GH to make this happen for him, but we aren’t just talking about the average Joe doing him a favor. Cyrus is on a mission to possibly relieve people of their suffering in the most extreme way possible — by killing them.
It’s also possible that he is still interested in dismantling Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) empire, and this may be the best way he knows how to.
It could even be that Cyrus was the one responsible for the explosive device placed in Sonny’s penthouse apartment that left Michael with third-degree burns all over his body, though it was clearly intended for the mob boss himself.
GH Spoilers Suggest Isaiah Has Impeccable Timing
Nonetheless, it feels a little too coincidental that Isaiah is the one who found Sonny on the floor of the boxing ring at his gym, too — and now has ended up being the doctor to treat him in private.
His arrival in Port Charles was just as on the nose as his discovery of Sonny in the gym that day. If you recall, he came to town just before Sam’s death — meaning this string of Digitalis deaths didn’t start until he was here.
Could it be that Cyrus’ early visit to him sparked a twisted brotherhood between these two men to take out as many people near and dear to Sonny as they could before finishing the don off for good?
General Hospital Spoilers — Past Mistakes May Resurface
Isaiah’s past sounded a little bit sketchy when Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) pleaded with him to perform the transplant surgery for his sister, Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins).
He had a decent cover story about a patient who died who never should have and left him with a somewhat broken faith in medicine. That allegedly took him to Africa where he could really heal people without such stark surprises on the back end.
But is that all there was to it? It’s likely we’re going to find out there was more to the story, and it may weave into why Isaiah would be complicit with Cyrus now. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
Hope writers don’t destroy a character that is much needed even before he gets in his first two months on canvas. GH does need more doctors on staff for which story can be written. What I would like to know about Gannon is if he is related to the Gannon family that was on One Life To Live and to whom.
