Barron Trump Has A Plan For TikTok
In fact, there is heavy speculation that suggests Barron Trump is already thinking of ways to bring back TikTok to American users and especially now that his father Donald Trump is the new president of the United States.
On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the law requiring TikTok to be sold to a U.S. company or banned by Sunday, January 19.
As many of our readers know, hundreds of millions of TikTok users were left in the dark after the video sharing app went dark only two days before Donald Trump’s inauguration. And now Barron wants to be part of the plan to make sure that TikTok will stay up and running and that there won’t be another ban in the future on it or any other social media platform for that matter.
Donald Trump announced he’s signing an executive order to temporarily unban TikTok on Monday. TikTok’s message on the app has changed to say it’s only “temporarily unavailable.”
“I’m asking companies not to let TikTok stay dark,” Mr. Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “I will issue an executive order on Monday to extend the period of time before the law’s prohibitions take effect, so that we can make a deal to protect our national security.”
What’s Next For TikTok?
For those who need a little refresher, the ban is from a 2024 law that requires app stores and cloud computing providers to stop distributing or hosting TikTok unless it is sold by its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.
TikTok asked the Supreme Court to intervene, believing it was a violation of the First Amendment but the court was against it.
If there is anyone who is well versed about social media, it’s Barron Trump and not anyone in his father’s administration.
After all, it was Barron who encouraged his father to do more podcasts during his campaign last year, which ultimately helped him win the presidential election.
