According to the Daily Beast, the Duke of Sussex’s new Netflix series about the sport of polo is getting panned by critics.
That’s because a lot of people are calling it ‘cheesy.’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s names are flagged with a full screen in the opening credits but they do not appear in the series whatsoever.
Not only that, but one of Prince Harry’s childhood friends who used to play polo with him back in the day says that the series could have done a better job of showing what the real sport of polo looks like. It seems like a lot of people are making fun of Prince Harry and the show behind his back.
He put it this way, “It’s hilarious, but not in a good way. It’s so tacky and cringey, it is literally all the worst things about polo. I watched it in appalled hysterics.”
“The irony is that polo is actually a surprisingly inclusive sport these days. You do see plenty of rich kids but there are also plenty of kids from less rarefied backgrounds who just happen to be fantastic riders who are sponsored by the teams. It doesn’t look like this show is going to foreground that, which is a real missed opportunity.”

So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the criticism, but they are certainly hoping for a win. That’s because their last Netflix series, Invictus, was largely ignored by their fans.
