Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that he’s always going to be a part of The Young and the Restless, both on and off camera.
Of course, we are talking about actor Doug Davidson, who used to play Paul Williams but is no longer on the show.
Here’s a little update on what’s been going on in his life lately.

In April, Doug was caught stirring the pot online again. That’s because the former actor is responding to all of the speculation and tweets that he might have been let go from his job at the hit CBS soap because of his political affiliations.
When one of his fans wrote, “@DougDavidsonYR Was such a big fan when you were on the Y&R. You were one of my favorites. So sad you crossed over to the MAGA dark side,” Doug promptly replied with, “That’s just propaganda. But that seems to be the MO of the platform.”
What’s more, Doug Davidson wants everyone to know that he did not get fired from The Young and the Restless.
Instead, he suggested in an interview last year that he had walked away from the show when contract negotiations didn’t go his way.

But when one Twitter user suggested that Doug might have gotten fired from The Young and the Restless because he didn’t want to take the COVID-19 vaccine at the time, the actor fired back with, “I’m sorry?? I took the vaccine. Where are you getting your disinformation?”
In November 2023, Doug also vented out his frustrations online.
After one of Doug’s Twitter followers brought to his attention that there’s another person out there pretending to be him on the social media network, Doug promptly replied with, “Not me. Geez. Never ends!!” Clearly, it’s happened plenty of times in the past.

If Doug is on the Maga side that makes me love him even more! I am tired of all the snowflakes in the entertainment world! Get rid of Chance and bring Doug back! Maybe that would bring back ones who stopped watching when he left!
