General Hospital Spoilers: Fans are Asking — Why Aren’t Jason and Carly Hooking Up?
General Hospital Spoilers say GH viewers are growing rather restless. They’re thrilled that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is back in Port Chuck, but his storyline has nearly dried up since his return.
He came in hot and heavy, inadvertently roping his son — Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) — into his fugitive from justice situation.
His reunion with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was everything we’d been waiting for. But now he’s spending his days checking inventory at Corinthos Coffee and spending his nights, well…we don’t know what he’s up to.
There has been little focus on how Jason is still acting as an informant. He’s not really going after Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) — Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is. But moreover, he’s not going after Carly, and that really burns our biscuits!
General Hospital Spoilers — The Last Time Can’t Be the Last Time
When Jason and Carly were married, the fans couldn’t have been happier. Finally, we were going to see a real power couple who were meant to be together soar to new heights. But before they could seal the deal on their wedding night, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) burst back into their lives.
Since then, nothing has been the same. Sonny and Carly’s marriage fell apart worse than ever before. Jason was presumed dead — and that should be enough for Carly to never want to lose him again.
But here we are wondering if the last time they locked lips is the last time they ever will. Say it ain’t so!
GH Spoilers Squeal Sonny is Finally Out of the Way
To make this storyline just a smidgen sillier, Jason and Carly actually have nothing standing in their way of being together this time around. Sure, Jason might have some hesitation about hooking up with his bestie when he’s also acting as an FBI informant to keep her safe.
It’s hard enough to keep that secret from her as a friend, but withholding the truth in a romantic relationship would be different. Nevertheless, the one thing that has always been their biggest roadblock — Sonny — is out of the way. He couldn’t care less about whether they’re together and assumes they already are. Get to it, you two!
General Hospital Spoilers — Why All the Other Men?
When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) broke things off with Carly the day after Jason reappeared in her living room, our hearts were full. It was the right thing to do, and Carly knew it as much as Drew did.
Still, maybe she needed some time to let her heart mend from all that she and Drew had been through. Just because her feelings for him weren’t on the scale they are with Jason doesn’t mean they weren’t real.
But as she moves on, we’ve seen her veer in the direction of a convicted felon, Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure), as well as Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington).
The fans are asking: Why are we pretending Carly has eyes for anyone but Jason? When will we see them pair up again? Will Sonny’s tailspin out of the mafia leave room for Jason and Carly to take over his territory?
Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
I like that Carly and Jason didn’t hook up because it gave time to show how others would be affected by his return like with Sam or Elizabeth etc. I don’t see those two paired off well. I like that she pretty much left him alone because now the focus is on Sonny. I’m more interested in that story line and the vindictiveness of Ava keeping that a secret. I want Sonny to know what Ava did! I like that Carly and Jason are friends and the pairing of Carly and the FBI agent is a good match. It shows another side to John Cates.
I am still holding out hope that the writers are taking their time with Carly and Jason getting romantic again. Right now, their focus is Sonny and I’m sure Jason is still unsure if Carly and Sonny are really over for good. Plus, Jason is trying to stay distant since he’s supposed to be a target for pikeman. My wish is that once Carly finds out she’s the one Jason has been protecting, that they have the romantic reunion they deserve.
