Days of Our Lives spoilers say fans have seen quite the change in Tate and luckily actor Eric Martsolf is here to break it down for everyone. The actor recently opened up about Jamie Martin Mann’s decision to leave the hit Peacock soap and now this has hit his character Brady Black pretty hard. Days of Our Lives Spoilers: All About Tate’s Switch
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Eric says that both her and his co-star Emily O’Brien, who plays Theresa on the show, were shocked but not surprised that Jamie was leaving. He put hit this way, “Jamie had made it very known that he was interested in being a college student at University of Michigan, and that that was a priority for him. Because his storyline was taking off the way it did, he just wasn’t going to be able to make it work with the schedule. So [leaving was] for no other reason than he just couldn’t do both.”
That said, Eric said that he did try to convince Jamie to stay with Days of Our Lives, even though he knew that he would have to juggle a few busy schedule as both an actor and a student. He said, “I said, ‘You don’t need a degree in musical theater or theater. You’ve got a job right now. This is the best training you can get.’ But he wants the college experience, and I completely got that. So we did what we do on soaps. We found another actor, and I’m happy to say he’s not only good, he’s terrific.”
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Leo Howard Is In The Role Now
But now that actor Leo Howard has taken over the role of Tate, Eric has done his best so far to help him with the switch. He said, “I know a little bit about taking over a character. So I’ve had some long chats with [Leo], and it didn’t take him long to fly. He’s actually very seasoned. He’s not fresh off the tree.”
Days of Our Lives airs on the Peacock network. Fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next!
