General Hospital Spoilers: Did Steve Burton Come Back Because Of Money?
General Hospital news says that a lot of fans can’t help but wonder why Steve Burton decided to come back to the hit ABC soap after initially being fired. And apparently, there’s a reason for it. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
General Hospital Spoilers: Did Steve Burton Come Back Because Of Money?
Back in November 2021, both Steve Burton and his former General Hospital co-star Ingo Rademacher were let go from the show because they refused to comply with the network’s vaccine mandate at the time. While Ingo has struggled to find work in the entertainment industry since then, Steve went on to work for Days of Our Lives. And while Steve’s stint in Salem was short and sweet, there’s some speculation suggesting that he came back to Port Charles because he needs money.
Anyone who has been paying attention to Steve’s personal life will know that he’s got plenty of bills to pay, which is why he’s taken up a side job as a personal trainer. Plus, he’s got three kids to take care of and he pays his ex-wife Sheree Burton a whopping amount in child support every month. There’s a good possibility that Steve decided to go back to General Hospital because their pay is much better at ABC than it is at Days of Our Lives and Peacock.
General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Jason Morgan?
So far Steve Burton himself hasn’t made any comments about the matter, but the actor did hint that his return to Port Charles might just be temporary. Until then we are sure that he’s going to cash in all of those General Hospital paychecks one by one, right? Here’s hoping that we’ll be seeing much more of his character Jason Morgan in the weeks and months to come.
It goes without saying that General Hospital fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next. General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network. Check your local listings for times.

Whether or not SB decided to return due to finances is not a matter of my concern nor should it be of others. The actor’s personal/professional life is two different subjects. As long as he does what is expected of him in his GH employment all is well. No one is questioning viewers or writers of this spoiler site of their financial situations nor should writers question SB’s financial situation.
So what if Steve’s motivation is that a few more years as Jason Morgan will set him up.? I’d do it if I had an opportunity. Just so long as Steve brings his A game every episode- Being a well paid star does bro g with it the expectations.
Welcome back Steve/Jason
Steve Burton did not return to GH for money. I’m sure it’s nice but he said when he left that he will come back when they let him. And yes, I’ve seen posts about his child support amount but he’s got many other jobs. The podcast, the shows he and Bradford do, his nutrition company and he said he’s always wanted to try coaching. He does all he does because he loves it. Stop making him out to be someone he isn’t. Just let him be..
