General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, January 5 tease coparenting arguments, grieving losses, and shocked reactions.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) argue, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) grieve a loss, and Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) reacts in shock.
General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Collins Shocked
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will be shocked when she finds out who nearly beat Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) senseless. Laura wants to know who did this to him and Cyrus tells her once she knows the answer, she may well be sorry she asked!
Laura had been friends with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for years, back to when she was still married to Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary).
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may be in a predicament as well, he may be sent to investigate. He’d have to arrest his father for attempted murder of Cyrus!
GH Spoilers: Coparenting Arguments
Elswhere, Drew and Sam are in a coparenting argument over Emily “Scout” Cain (Cosette Abinante) and Sam putting the kibosh on her going to Westwood School.
Drew had gone behind Sam’s back and enrolled Scout in the prestigious private school and Scout doesn’t want to go-she even had a nightmare about a teacher being a monster.
Sam looks shocked as Drew uncharacteristically reams her out, asking if she gets the final word on what’s best for their daughter? This doesn’t seem like the laid-back Drew Sam has been used to-where’s all this anger coming from?
General Hospital Spoilers: Grieving Losses
Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) is crying and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) tells her “she wouldn’t want you to do this alone”.
Obviously they’re talking about Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Felicia’s probably thinking how she’s going to tell Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Bobbie, Felicia, and Anna were all close back in the day and of course, Maxie as well when Felicia and Bobbie were sisters-in-law.
Bobbie was married to Tony Jones (Brad Maule) when Felicia was married to Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner). And, Bobbie was a big part of the decision to donate BJ Jones’ (Brighton Hereford) heart to Maxie.
GH Spoilers: Cody Bell Comforts Maxie Jones
It sounds like when Maxie finds out about Bobbie, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) will be with her-he’ll comfort Maxie, but now he’s asking someone if they think something’s a good idea.
Anna and Felicia may come in person to tell Maxie what happened, and it could be at the Deception Cosmetics office since she may be at work.
Obviously, any photo shoots planned will take a back seat since there’s a death of someone who so many were close to. Bobbie was Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) sister-in-law and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Bobbie went back a long way as well.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha Gilmore Provides Encouragement
While Cody’s comforting Maxie, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) provides encouragement to a broken Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros).
Sasha and Nina are now as close as a real mother and daughter, but it took some time after Nina found out Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hired her. Now she’s close to both Sasha and Valentin again-as his close friend and mother figure to Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
Sasha tells Nina to just let the dust settle and let it be and she might get what she wants-namely back in Sonny’s good graces. It’s just going to take some time and patience.
GH Spoilers: Shocked Reactions
In the meantime, Sonny’s talking to Lois, who’s shocked at his apparent mixed feelings about kicking Nina to the curb. She exclaims, “you’re not done with her for good?”
Lois considers Nina turning Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew into the SEC and letting them continue assuming it was Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) a cardinal sin.
She can’t believe Sonny would ever give someone like Nina any second chances or even consider it. She’ll no doubt encourage him to get a quickie divorce if he can!
