General Hospital: There’s Major Concern About Kirsten Storms
As many General Hospital fans are aware of by now, Kirsten is taking a break from the soap. She has been temporarily replaced by actress Nicole Paggi. And because of this, a lot of fans seem to be very concerned about her mental health and her health in general. That’s mostly because Kirsten’s appearance has changed over the last several months, sparking a lot of concern from her fans online. A lot of General Hospital viewers want to know what’s really going on. As of press time, Kirsten has not given a reason for her leave.
It goes without saying that many General Hospital fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some have even commented with, “I know as we all have Kirsten has gained weight over the years as she has aged and matured, but she is the Maximista they should dress her that way. She does work for a magazine that covers style, there are many nice styles for everyone of all ages and sizes. General Hospital is missing the boat as they could do such a nice storyline with an actress and character that we all love,” along with, “I made a comment about her being unhappy and Brandon Barash commented back that he agreed. The sad fact is, weight management is hard…been there…Emotional eating is hard to leave behind, but for health reasons, fat is unhealthy and can lead to diabetes, heart disease, and even uterine cancer.”
General Hospital: Is Kirsten Storms Returning To Port Charles?
Another fan wrote, “Did any of you’ll for a minute think that just maybe she has a medical problem that is causing her to gain weight and it’s not from over eating. Hope whatever is taking her off the show for a while she deals with and hurry back. Like what was said there is only one Maxie.”
So far Kirsten herself has not made any comments about the matter.

I don’t think Kirsten owes anyone an explanation for her weight gain. I believe she told Mo she was bi-polar and she has had gynocological issues which can cause weight gain. Any number of medications can cause weight gain.That said, I adore her and her character no matter what. As to wardrobe, maybe the selections are Kirsten’s choice. Clothes she herself feels comfortable in. She is no longer a size two and those type styles no longer work on her body at the moment. She is a beautiful, talented woman at any size!!!

I so agree with your comments but want to add that her personal problems do not need to discussed for fans to talk about on spoilers and social media. None would want heir personal struggles put out there, so just allow Kirsten to do what she needs to be healthy and wish her well – not question truly personal matters.

I have been a fan of hers since the first time I saw Zenon! She’s an amazing actress and an amazing person and her personal issues are just that! She is beautiful at any size and I can’t wait for Maxi to come back!
