General Hospital Spoilers: Critics Want Brook Lynn Quartermaine Recast With New Actress
Soap Twitter says there’s a lot of speculation that Amanda is refusing to do love scenes with her co-star Josh Swickard (Chase) even though their characters are currently engaged. Not only that, but a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder why Brook Lynn is part of the music scene when Amanda hasn’t done any singing in front of the cameras. This has prompted a lot of critics to ask: what’s going on? Brook Lynn and Chase haven not gotten busy under the sheets even though this is a soap opera.
Needless to say, many General Hospital fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “So she doesn’t sing, which was an integral part of the character, and she doesn’t do love scenes, which are an integral part of soap characters in general,” along with, “Hot Take Briana Lane was a much better Brook Lynn than Amanda was. She was fierce, vulnerable, and rootable. Briana and Josh would’ve killed it with each other.”

Another critic wrote, “To be clear idgaf about Chase & Brook Lynn as a couple. The minute i saw this chick take off her coat and have another blazer on underneath in a SAUNA. I was done with them! It’s a damn Shame JS is stuck in this bland ship. His character has took a hit since this pairing.”
And then there was this comment as well, “Imagine being on a 60 year old soap for four years and being able to call the shots and tell production and writers what you will and won’t do as an actor. She needs to go, especially if she’s not giving what the viewers want.”
So far the producers of General Hospital have made no comments about the matter. Watch this space.

Where did people get the info that she won’t do love scenes? I’ve only seen the rumors (complaints) from fans. Why does it matter? We don’t see the characters using the bathroom, but common sense tells me they probably do. So why can’t people use their imaginations and know Chase and Brooklyn have an intimate, loving relationship, whether we actually see them doing the deed, or not? And yes, they have hit the sheets before. It was in her room at the Q’s, and Olivia walked in on a naked Chase the next morning. Amanda S. is a beautiful, talented actress, and does NOT need to be replaced! Especially not with the one who filled in for her before! And who cares if she can sing it not? Nelle cut her throat, remember? And I’ve read NOTHING BUT COMPLAINTS about anyone else who does sing on the show. Chase, Blaze, Eddie/Ned – gripe, gripe, and more griping. Heck even sweet little 7 yr old, Violet, hasn’t been safe from the negative comments about her singing. Some of you people just want to complain! Joss and Dex have too much sex, but Chase and Brooklyn don’t have enough. You want Brooklyn to sing, but bitch when anyone DOES sing. People need to grow up and just enjoy the show. Sure, there are always gonna be characters and storylines we don’t like, but if I expected every show I like to ONLY do what I wanted with ONLY characters and actors I loved, I d be unable to watch anything. Maybe some of you all need to watch something else, since you find GH so unbearable!

I think it is a terrible story. Brooklyn is unique. She and Chase have so much. I really don’t need these love scenes anyway. They all awkward on soaps and I’ve seen them all over 60 years!
She is a great actress. If she doesn’t feel comfortable doing bedroom scenes she has every right not to. There are actors and actresses that refuse to kiss others in their movies and it’s nothing wrong with that and they are successful and their choice. One example is Denzel Washington.

We don’t need bedroom scenes, big waste of time. They are a great couple.
I think the current Brook Lynn is fabulous and should not be replaced. Young Love is so fascinating, why rush it and THEM by throwing them in the sack right away. Not everyone watches Soaps for the sexual scenes, some of us actually follow the Storyline, so keep up the Good Work Amanda!
Brook Lynn can not sign anymore because Nell slit her throat and damaged her vocals ! who says we need her to be showing skin? only once a month or so do we see anyone doing a love sceen anyway ,so get off her back!! I love her ,and her with Chase.
Stop picking on Ananda Setton I like her as Brooklyn and your wondering why she hasn’t sang is because awhile back Nell Benson slashed Brooklyns throat a few yrs ago so Vrooklyn has been doing song writing. I want Amanda to stay.
