General Hospital comings and goings say there were some reports suggesting actress Laura Wright was possibly leaving the show. Yet the actress, who is best known for her role as Carly Corinthos, set the record straight about all of those departure rumors. And yes, she said exactly what need to be said. Laura, who is often very honest with her fans, took to her Twitter account to write, “Not sure how these crazy rumors get started but heck no I’m not going anywhere. I’ll stay as long as you guys will have me. !!! #CarlysWorld!!! @GeneralHospital #GHBaby.”

It goes without saying that many General Hospital fans sure did have a lot to say about Laura and all of the rumors suggesting that she was leaving the show. Some commented with, “We don’t want you to go anywhere, Laura. We love you, and you are a big asset to GH. We love you playing Carly,” along with, “Well good.  Pretty sure most would agree with me…we want you as Carly forever!!!   That’s how long I plan on watching #GH. You are truly the best.”

General Hospital News: Fans Want Laura To Stay

Another fan wrote, “I have seen the posts out there but I don’t believe them unless you post it and just hope it wouldn’t be a fake post. Lot of those out there!”

And then there was this comment as well: “Thank God GH would never be the same!! You’re my favorite Carly by far. I did love it though when they did the episode with the 3 Carlys. I’ve followed you since your Loving days.”

And there you have it, folks. Laura might be a controversial figure, but she’s also a very popular actress. If she were to leave, there’s no doubt in anyone’s minds that Port Charles just wouldn’t be the same.
