According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, soon after Victoria leaves town for his business trip, Nate tries to butter up Nikki Newman with compliments, but he quickly finds out that she’s immune to his B.S., if you know what we mean.
The Young and the Restless Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith puts it this way, “Nikki thinks Nate is telling her exactly what she wants to hear and quickly cuts him off to question his sincerity. Nate decides he has nothing to lose about being completely transparent with Nikki about his hopes for this future at Newman.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Nate informs Nikki that he wants to run Newman with Victoria by his sie one day, but he also admits that he knows he’s got a long way until anyone in the family can trust him. In other words, no one knows what his true agenda may be.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Nate?
Griffith adds, “Nate knows the Newmans look out for their own and see Nate as an outsider. This left Nate to form his own alliance with Audra, so he has someone to rely on as he rises up the ranks at Newman.”
Yet, Nikki warns Nate that she’ll be watching his every move, especially when it comes to her daughter, Victoria. Griffith says, “This will force Nate to readjust his strategy on how to keep the Newmans from interfering in his career, as well as his relationship with Victoria.”
