Queen Camilla Is More Of A ‘Fierce Feminist’Than Meghan Markle

Is Queen Camilla more of a feminist than Meghan Markle? That’s what it seems like! Or at least according to some royal observers. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Queen Camilla Is More Of A ‘Fierce Feminist’Than Meghan Markle

Royal expert Jennie Bond hinted that because of Queen Camilla’s passions and the work that she’s taken on – and especially in the areas that have to do with domestic violence – she’s more of a feminist than Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle.

Bond put it this way, “The Queen is absolutely passionate about reading and saw huge success when she launched her Reading Room charity on Instagram. She has read since she was young and loves nothing more than sitting quietly with King Charles and reading in separate corners of the same room. I think she has probably be surprised—and thrilled—by the success of this literary venture but she remains loyal to her other charities and causes, particularly domestic violence.”

Bond then added, “The Queen is a fiercely modern feminist who has some radical and forward thinking ideas—Meghan was certainly not the first member of the family to claim this credential!”

Back in 2020 and during the height of the pandemic lockdown, Camilla  addressed those who were living in fear, not just because of the virus, but also because of what was happening behind closed doors and at home. She said, “This is a hard time for everyone, as we are all asked to stay at home to stay safe. But for some of you it is even harder, because home is not a safe place. I can only imagine that being asked to stay there could feel very isolating and frightening for you and your family. It may mean spending more time with the person who is harming you.”

Camilla also urged those worried about their personal safety to call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline or to contact one of the domestic abuse charities in their area. She said at the time, “Even if you cannot leave your home, you can call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline or contact one of the domestic abuse charities. Please stay safe and get help. If you are in immediate danger, please call 999 and ask for the police.”
