General Hospital News: It’s Tyler Christopher Like You’ve Never Seen Him Before

General Hospital alum Tyler Christopher has been active on social media for two very different reasons. The actor, who was best known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine, has been sharing new photos on his Instagram account and encouraging his fans to reach out to him on Cameo. He’s also been trending on Twitter as fans have made it no secret that they want him back in Port Charles so he can reprise his role as Nikolas. Here’s what you need to know.

General Hospital News: It’s Tyler Christopher Like You’ve Never Seen Him Before

Clearly, Tyler has to be aware of all the chit chat about fans wanting him back on daytime television, but it seems like he’s chosen to ignore it. Instead, he’s been sharing super handsome photos of himself enjoying his new post-soap life. As many fans know, Tyler has managed to land several new roles on different television movies. He’s also made no indication that he wants to return to General Hospital, even though his fans are begging him to come back at this point.

While Adam Huss has taken over as the new Nikolas Cassadine from actor Marcus Coloma, many General Hospital viewers are gutted that the producers did not ask Tyler to come back to the show. Some fans have taken to their Twitter accounts to write comments such as, “It was Tyler Christopher until Marcus Coloma took over 3 yrs ago. I was so sorry to see Marcus go as Nicholas … they need to just kill him off now. The writers ruined his character and there was no coming back from the dark place,” along with, “Tyler Christopher is Nikolas Cassadine to avid and long term GH fans, much like Maurice Benard is Sonny Corinthos. Both actors have won Leading Male  Actor Emmy Awards for their portrayals of these essential leading male characters on the popular soap.”

Another fan wrote, “If they only hired Huss for a few eps, I can accept that. But ONLY if #TylerChristopher is there at the end of the line. You can’t kill Nik just because one actor mucked him up a bit. I’ll accept a coma (but it’s a stretch to have two of Laura’s kids in a coma, c’mon.)”
