Days of Our Lives spoilers say that the writers of the show definitely went ‘there’ if you know what we mean. The hit Peacock soap recently aired a scene with a threesome, which just happens to be the first in daytime history. And let’s just say that fans certainly have a lot to say about it. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest episode, Chanel and Allie can’t help but take Alex for his offer when he suggests a threesome between them. While this was initially Allie’s idea in the beginning, things do get a little awkward before they begin their adventure. And by that, we mean their sexual escapade.
Of course, many Days of Our Lives fans sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Some comments have included, “The initial buildup seemed like what happens in a porno video from the 90s when they try to have one of those terribly acted storylines like the guy delivering pizza,” along with, “That begs the question of how exactly are they trying to build an audience, let alone younger audience? Unless you have Peacock and know it’s on Peacock and tune in already, how was this promoted to attract new viewers or younger viewers? I’ve seen nothing as far as promotion for Days on Peacock except sometimes it’s on the homepage scroll when I open Peacock, and again, only sometimes.”

Another fan said, “I thought, all in all, this was done pretty tastefully. I do not have a single problem with some edgier material that may bring in interest from a new audience. Soaps simply cannot keep doing the exact same thing same thing they’ve been doing for 57 or more years and expect to get buzz and new eyeballs. Does that mean they should abandon any character development, engaging plotting and logical pacing? No. They need to do both and try different approaches that appeal to many viewers.”
And then there was this comment, “The show just won’t survive with only featuring John and Marlene, Steve and Kayla or even Bo and Hope (if they came back full-time). You can’t have a generational show where everyone is over 60 and your viewers are all as well. Look, I love all those supercouples and mainstay characters as much as anyone. I’ve grown up with them. But, the show needs to evolve, slowly and thoughtfully. I hope they are able to pull it off. In the meantime, I’ll be watching to see which hot hunk gets some skin in the game first.”
