The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that fans have been dying to see business exec Rick Forrester on the canvas again. And while it’s been three years since his portrayer, Jacob Young, opted to not renew his contract, the actor recently opened up about the possibility of coming back to the hit CBS soap to reprise his role. Here’s what you need to know.

As many fans know by now, a lot of veterans have been returning to The Bold and the Beautiful, including Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter), Sean Kanan (Deacon Sharpe) and now Krista Allen will be filling in for Hunter Tylo as the new Taylor Hayes on the show. Jacob actor opened up on his podcast, Real Conversations with Jacob Young, about the possibility of returning the show just so his character Rick can reclaim his spot in the Forrester family business.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that sadly, Jacob won’t be coming back anytime soon. “After being on the show twice… it was a good time, working with the actors that I got to work with,” Young said, but added, “but there’s just not enough work to go around.”
In other words, Jacob just doesn’t think there’s enough storyline to go around for everyone.
The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Going On With Rick Forrester?
“They hyper-focus on a couple of storylines at a time and that just doesn’t work for me. I wanted consistency,” he shared. “It doesn’t have to be five, eight episodes a week, but just consistent. You write somebody off the canvas for a month, and then they show up one day a month. It’s not good for the character and it’s not good for the audience, in my opinion.”
While that’s certainly not the news that fans want to hear, there’s always the possibility that he might come back in the future. With or without Rick, needless to say, fans will have to tune in this week for all of the action! Really??? Going back with the triangle of Brooke, Ridge and Taylor. That storyline has been dead (and rightfully so) for years. If they have to go back to that storyline then get New Writers. Why don’t they bring on a new woman for Ridge to have a brief dalliance with?? And a new man (not Deacon) for Brooke to turn to. Come on people breathe some fresh air in this show or you’re going to start loosing loyal fans. I’ve watched it from the very beginning. I might as well say this too How come they don’t have any fashion shows anymore?? That is what they do for a living.
