The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor Forced Out Of His Empire – Cane’s Certainty Will Be His Undoing
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is prepared to fight. But he’ll have to do it from outside the walls of Newman Enterprises.
Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) turnaround has been remarkable. He lost Arabesque because Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stole his artificial intelligence program and believed she was trading it to the Moustache, but he reneged.
However, Cane’s minions had implanted a poison pill inside the AI weapon. He waited until the time was right, tapped within an app on his smartphone, and poof, Victor’s control was gone.
Is This Storyline Believable In Genoa City, Wisconsin?
An easy one-word answer would be no. Cane wasn’t part of the show since 2019, and only returned last year in recast form.
During the six years that passed, he is said to have been working with his now late father, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers). Together, they took the gains, which Victor believes were ill-gotten, and created Arabesque.
Colin’s vision was to have Cane return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, and take control of its legacy businesses. They believed that would impress Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins.
It is believable to think that Victor’s business could be threatened, as it has various times before. To have it taken over is a stretch, but also plausible.
But having Cane think Lily and their children would be wowed isn’t digestible, as Flynn’s alter ego has realized to his deep regret.
Phyllis Summers’ Factor Vital And Also Ominous
She’s long could change people’s lives. Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) learned that in the 1990s when Stafford first stormed the cast and turned what was to be a temporary gig into a glorious career in daytime.
Phyllis saw Cane as her ticket back. That outlook was altered when he appeared to have fumbled the ball. However, her faith in him was restored, and admiration elevated when he revealed the poison pill strategy.
Yet, viewers know that many plots that Phyllis has been connected to or led have faltered. So, the seemingly inevitable collapse of her partnership is almost certainly ahead, as Victor predicted.
Victor Newman Pursues Rebirth, Again
Victor built his business from nothing. He took an opportunity that Katherine Chancellor provided and used that position, as the head of Chancellor, to create his own empire.
He’s been forcibly exiled but has a comeback plan in motion. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has located Lily and the twins.
The scheme to make Cane believe the love of his life and their children are in danger is afoot. Victor’s rebirth is tied to Cane’s false assumption that he’ll need to return Victor’s kingdom or lose those he values more than anything.
Good soap is ahead, with one of the better storylines Braeden has been working on in recent years. It’s also a solid comeback vehicle for the Cane character, even considering the legacy takeover implausibility.
